  • im just wondering, i have just got a dd frontline, it was a choice between these two, and i got the dd frontline purely because I've have a friend and he has the travel hammock and when it rains due to the waterproof bottom condensation puddles up in the bottom and hes wet for the morning, has that ever happened to you?

  • You mentioned about hanging something for stopping water getting down the lines?? What exactly did you mean, I have a hammock that I am hoping to use soon and we tend to get a lot of moisture in the north country. Thanks excellent vid

  • @1LRLRG although you will use a rainfly, water will come down the lines from the tree and end up inside the hammock. Alot of people use a pair carabiners on each side. Cutting the tieouts close to hammock end which remains under the rainfly. Some, use lighter line close to the hammock end and just tie it to the tieouts, leaving a foot or so of line to hang down. This also work half the time. Depending on how absorbent the tieout line is and how hard the rain falls.

  • I've owned a DD travel hammock for the last 3 months and haven't had any issues with the stitching. As you stated you may have received a "second". I also have friends who own the same hammocks and they have no problems either. I hope the replacement they send you will be free of problems. Happy hangin'.

  • thanks so much Jsut a guy, I am going to purchase this hammok and i am in London england. going to be backpacking through Italy and Greece over the next 2 months (july + aug 2011) and will let you know how the durability stands up to this. Good thing is I am actually in London England UK so I should get it very soon. There shouldnt be much rain in these 2 country's over the next 2 months but if I do experience it I will make notes etc for ya and upload a link to my findings.

  • @smiliejosh Thanks for watching. I am sure your going to like it. Look forward to hear about the outcome.
