  • Ive owned like 20 glocks over the years including the .45s the .36 is the only glock I just don't like...I want to like it...but find it uncomfortable in recoil...and I love 10mm and .44 mags...reload and shoot .45...you really ought to borrow or rent a 36 before you buy...I'd have to say 27 bests it in my book...though a modified 23 is my favorite

  • I really like my 36 for ccw.

  • @Gillyg71 what kind of recoil are you getting with the smaller frame when using the .45?

  • @TDB769 Recoil seems to be less than a full sized 45 like a Colt, My wife also carries the 36 and does not mind the recoil.

  • Great video... Thanks!!! I watch both of your video on the G36 and it helped me in making my mind. I think I'm picking mine tomorrow.

  • Well... I'm buying one now.

  • my glock 36 does not like cheap ammo. plus p works the best.

  • @1973timc i had the same problem, it didn't take remington UMC or WWB i got 5-6 FTF FTEs in 100 rounds. Winchester ranger T +P it enjoyed very much.

  • This will probably be my next Glock...

  • What's you opinion on the G27 vs the G36 for concealed carry?

  • the wear on the hood of your barrel doesnt look normal compared to my g19. i just have a fine line but you have a big area? is that normal for the 36?

  • G36 vs G26 for ccw? What's your opinion Sootch?

  • i've been carrying the 36 for 18 months and it's perfect for concealment with a Kolster. I love the 1911 design and Kimber makes some great ones. But if you are in a situation to use your concealed weapon the authorities will sieze it. Better to lose a $600 Glock

  • Nice vid sir! Just picked up a G36 today and shooting it tomorrow, can't wait. Nice vid. Thanks for the info.

  • LOVED the ending!!

  • i love love love love love this gun! It's my EDC gun hands down! :D I chose it for all the reasons he mentions God bless Don! Keep it real my friend!

  • I'v shot my brothers Glock 17 and I didn't like it but I would like to try the 36

  • Thank you for a great informative vid, I have the G26 & G27 and the G36 is my next road buddy.

  • I'm thinking strongly of getting a 45 and I might know which one to get now. It is a delight to see what one is looking for first thing in the morning. I'm impressed with this weapon so time to go check it out. Thanks Sootch00. Have a really great day.

  • Sootch, I love your reviews, but sometimes your outtakes at the end make me worry. :-P

  • The only thing holding me back from trying the Glock 36 is no flashlight adapter. I wish Glock made the magazine mounted flashlight adapter for the 45 cal Glocks. I have one mounted on a Glock 17 magazine and can use it on any of the 9mm Glocks.

  • What Glocks can be chambered in .40?

  • Hey sootch, I just bought and received via amazon the new Kershaw breakout 7000 auto. 70$ and it is an awesome knife. because I am doing leatherwork alot, I particularly like the thinness and out of the box razor blade sharpness. also, I was at a gunshow and was comparing the glock 36 to the 30 sf. I have a small hand and the grip of the 30sf was comfortable along with the idea of the 30sf w/ extra rounds.

  • Its still thicker than a 1911. A 1911 is under an inch at the slide. I Like the glocks and carry them often, but all this week I've been carrying a full size 1911 and I'm starting to think that You know, if you have the right set up with the holster and belt and the right cloths you can carry the larger weapons. On down size of carrying a .45 in a short barrel is that you lose a lot of muzzle velocity below the 4" mark.

  • I personally don't mind thicker grips, but this still seems like a fun pistol. I might have to check it out for ccw.

  • With the introduction of the G26 and G27 Respectfully.

Gaston Glock cornered the market on the mini pistol

revolution. People finally realized you didn't need 4+

inches of barrel for accuracy. Incredible pistols.

  • @frankthebricklayer Thats what she said.

  • hey could you do a beretta M92 rewiev

  • another great sooch vid. im still not a glock fan, but this model seems to have alot going for it. looks to be an outstanding cc tool.

  • HAHAHA AWESOME DON! i was just about to post on your channel page, "Hey eagerly waiting that g36 review" and sure enough there it was! This is my choice for ccw if the gov permits me due to higher restrictions in my state that we discussed before (bought it and love the feel)

as always Don, Peace, love and Jesus be with you -Ethan

  • My Glock 36 is very comfortable to shoot and very easy to carry and a comfortable concealed gun with a big bullet can serve you well because you will tend to have it on you.

  • NO NO NO!!! Lol some older guy was shooting his Glock 36 right next to me at the range a few days ago and it's soooo loud! Either the headphones suck ass or its jus damn loud lol

  • @Superwoman2012 its load :)

  • you should get a 10mm glock

  • nice

  • Whats the reacoil on this gun conpaired to full sized glock ?

  • Comment removed

  • What they really need is a 10 round single stack full size slimline.

  • Great review!!! Hey Sootch what sunglasses are you wearing on the video?

  • Great vid , always like the stuff at the very end, very funny

  • sootch00 you look so serious when you shoot. lol

  • Sootch Brotha your on a Glock Kick this week, I think you have GLOCKOMA

  • Kicks straight back. Love it!

  • Why get the 36 instead of the 30? All of the specs are the same except for .14 inches in width. If you have very small hands, obviously you should go with the 36, but otherwise I'd say take the 4 extra rounds in the 30. You also have the ability to use the 21 magazines for 13 rounds.

  • My Kimber pro is better...

  • Gaston Glock is just incredible. Not bad for a person who never had any experience with firearms. This was a man whos trade was making tools and curtain rods then out of no where he made one of the best handsguns in the world. Glock is the next best thing to John M. Browning when it comes to making firearms.

  • I have a Glock 27 and the G22 Mags with the covers do pinch my hand.

  • Nice glock.. Wonder why it doesnt have a tac rail? I thought all the glocks with the 3rd gen grips had a tac rail.. That would be my only frown..

  • You sold me on that gun man!! Exelent video!!

  • @Bigntactical1 only 6 rounds. I don't like that. I think a 1911 would be better. But cost wise. Glock would be better. This is think of a carry gun.

  • @glockman1727ak47 a 1911 that size would hold only six rounds anyway.

  • @TheRGreviews true. I am thinking of the other mags... I don't like the idea of only 6 rounds.

  • Why the change in music?

  • haha love the endings as always

  • A compact 1911 in .45 ACP is hard to beat (0.90" slide thickness!), but the Kahr CW45 is also nice - light, thin, good looks, and costs less than most Glocks. Giving up nearly half your mag capacity just to be 0.05" thinner than the G30 is just plain silly, especially when the G36's other dimensions are nearly identical to the G30. Heck, for only having 6 shots and still being thick and kinda heavy (and expensive), even a lightweight .357 Magnum snubby revolver makes more sense than the G36.

  • Yea i have had mine for 6 mo great carry gun.Good review thnaks.

  • Wow Sootch, great 15 yard group!

  • good vids man......i may have to get one.....

  • @sootch00 I know this has nothing to do with this video but I am in extreme need of 7.62x54 ammo in bulk that is non-corrosive. I recently picked up a Mosin Nagant and its ammo is not cheap. I would love if you could recommend a website or chain store that carries this round. Thanks!

    ~AJ

  • You reload your rounds right?

  • six dislikes, damned liberals.

  • @October32nd There are many gun loving liberals.

  • @throwawayglue ex-liberals

  • @throwawayglue We can only pray? The GCA of 1968 given to us

by the late T.J. Dodd, father of now comfortably retired Chris Dodd

    (D) Conn. This Legislation was taken straight from Nazi Germany.

This is a fact. Easily verifiable. Then imposed on the Americans.

  • @throwawayglue all 8 of ya.

  • @throwawayglue Sure, but most of them tend to vote for the politicians most likely to try banning them.

  • @RevolverPhantom Unarmed people or dead people is the question.

  • Thanks for another great review Sootch00. I've been thinking about up-calibering for a while. The 9mm is great but us Americans are big people and the 9mm doesn't automatically stop crazy dope fiends. I've been watching the news lately and crimminals are almost never carrying 9mms these days. Someone whose actually been under stress told me once that the first 3 or 4 shots usually settles an issue unless its a gang situation.

  • Great review. Personally, I'm not a fan of the 36. I don't like the small capacity and I don't like .45ACP out of such a short barrel. I would much, much rather have a 26. You get more rounds, and you have the ability to use a G17 or G19 mag as a spare reload. That is not possible with the 36's proprietary magazines.

  • This is a dumb question.....but what does A.C.P stand for

i have a guess but i want to make sure

  • @gameviews1 Automatic Colt Pistol

  • @xBiGTxLPZx Thanks

  • @frankthebricklayer Yeah, it's not really a sub carry. But still has a place in CCW.

  • I will pass on the G36. The G19 is way better. 17 rounds instead of 6

  • @GOLDSILVERDUDE g 19= 15+1

  • @GOLDSILVERDUDE But the point of this pistol is to be a highly concealable firearm with a hard hitting caliber, and silly comparison, g19's not subcompact slimline but compact and is chambered in 9mm, and correct me if I'm wrong but to the g19's 15 rounds + 1 unless you use the 17 round magazine of the g17 or the 33 round magazine, and the 9mm's a less effective cartridge

  • you have to much fun Sootch good review.

  • 6 shots are plenty. The .45 ACP is considered to be a 1shot stopper anyway.

  • @FoulOwl its considered that only by fools. shot placement is king

  • @throwawayglue You're right shot placement's important. And Im far from a fool boy

  • Outstanding review... Been looking for a 36 for years. Living here in MASS. very very very hard to find.

  • Mmm .45 glock :D

  • Check out the Kahr CW series! I'd love to see you review one or more of them!

  • Sootch where did you get that shirt? It's awesome!

  • @rjlahoward That's from 1791designsdotcom. He has a lot of cool designs geared toward gun guys. Thanks~

  • @sootch00

Hey Sootch. Had do some searching but I found it under the URL 1791appareldotcom. Just a heads up for anyone looking for the website.

Great vid too man. Glock power!

God Bless, and long live the republic.

  • @sootch00 I couldn't find that website but 1791appareldotcom seems to have similarly designed shirts. Is that the one you meant or is this a different site?

  • @sootch00 can you give the link to that website i cant find it

  • @sootch00 in your opionion what do you think the best conceled carry pistol is

  • @rjlahoward i want one too!

  • Woah serious shooting face there sootch at 2:53

    Thanks for the awesome review.

  • Great video as always, i understand the POU of the 36, but don't mind the extra thickness of guns like the model 30.

  • One of Glocks best guns. I hope to see them come out with some newer single stack .380 and 9mm ccw designs along these lines but more to go up against cw9 and LC9.

  • @vashguud They make a .380, you just can't get it in the U.S.

  • Thank u. This is my next handgun purchase. Don't u love how these two guys are having a pissing match on ur comments wall.

  • Only two issues I had with the G-36 is the barrel flip was pronounced, especially compared to the 1911. Also, after firing over 1000 rounds through one, the only ammo I had any problem with was some frangible rounds that popped their bullets from the casing. No problem with the Federal Hydra-shok at all, and it's my fav for EDC.

  • Sootch- love your channel more and more. BTW you saved me $15 bucks on my last ammo order. Thanks for doin what you do.

  • Go Ahead, Make My Day! : )

  • If you were going to carry a 6 round pistol of power comparable to .45 acp why would you not just carry a arguably much lighter revolver..

  • @MasterTaters for one, reloading is much faster on an auto. and the G36 is very light. anyone who would complain about its weight shouldnt be shooting a gun anyway, they are sissies and im surprised they can handle recoil of a .22.

  • @SNIPERSTEVE420 11 oz j frames which pack greater power than this. And do you conceal in fallujah? Who needs to reload, easily fixed by moon clips, anyone who needs more than 6 rounds of that sort of power shouldnt be shooting a gun..

  • @MasterTaters what if your faced with 10 adversaries, if you only need 6 rounds then you must be chuck norris and shouldnt need a gun anyway XD

  • @SNIPERSTEVE420 Im sorry, so you ARE in fallujah then. You must face armed groups of drugged up insurgents every day. I didn't know you were in delta force bro. Are you kidding.. 10? What ifs have nothing to do with the real world.

  • @MasterTaters thats the thing, you cant predict the real world, you never know what could happen. and no im not in delta force or in fallujah or anything like that. i have no idea what that even has to do with this.

  • @SNIPERSTEVE420 whoa whoa lets not be hating on .22! =<

  • @BitFox not hatin, i love .22

  • @BitFox not hatin, i love .22

  • @MasterTaters Which revolvers are lighter than a glock? I'm not trying to sound snarky, I'm just curious. I could've sworn most, if not all, 6 shooter revolvers are heavy chunks of steel compared to the polymer glock

  • @BitFox Smith and wesson j frames for one, hammerless or hammered, 2 inch or 4 inch barrels, are lighter than this(Loaded too), The ruger lcr, and like models(Many copies)

  • nice gun !!
