Ive owned like 20 glocks over the years including the .45s the .36 is the only glock I just don't like...I want to like it...but find it uncomfortable in recoil...and I love 10mm and .44 mags...reload and shoot .45...you really ought to borrow or rent a 36 before you buy...I'd have to say 27 bests it in my book...though a modified 23 is my favorite
the wear on the hood of your barrel doesnt look normal compared to my g19. i just have a fine line but you have a big area? is that normal for the 36?
i've been carrying the 36 for 18 months and it's perfect for concealment with a Kolster. I love the 1911 design and Kimber makes some great ones. But if you are in a situation to use your concealed weapon the authorities will sieze it. Better to lose a $600 Glock

I'm thinking strongly of getting a 45 and I might know which one to get now. It is a delight to see what one is looking for first thing in the morning. I'm impressed with this weapon so time to go check it out. Thanks Sootch00. Have a really great day.
The only thing holding me back from trying the Glock 36 is no flashlight adapter. I wish Glock made the magazine mounted flashlight adapter for the 45 cal Glocks. I have one mounted on a Glock 17 magazine and can use it on any of the 9mm Glocks.
Hey sootch, I just bought and received via amazon the new Kershaw breakout 7000 auto. 70$ and it is an awesome knife. because I am doing leatherwork alot, I particularly like the thinness and out of the box razor blade sharpness. also, I was at a gunshow and was comparing the glock 36 to the 30 sf. I have a small hand and the grip of the 30sf was comfortable along with the idea of the 30sf w/ extra rounds.
Its still thicker than a 1911. A 1911 is under an inch at the slide. I Like the glocks and carry them often, but all this week I've been carrying a full size 1911 and I'm starting to think that You know, if you have the right set up with the holster and belt and the right cloths you can carry the larger weapons. On down size of carrying a .45 in a short barrel is that you lose a lot of muzzle velocity below the 4" mark.
HAHAHA AWESOME DON! i was just about to post on your channel page, "Hey eagerly waiting that g36 review" and sure enough there it was! This is my choice for ccw if the gov permits me due to higher restrictions in my state that we discussed before (bought it and love the feel)
as always Don, Peace, love and Jesus be with you -Ethan
My Glock 36 is very comfortable to shoot and very easy to carry and a comfortable concealed gun with a big bullet can serve you well because you will tend to have it on you.
NO NO NO!!! Lol some older guy was shooting his Glock 36 right next to me at the range a few days ago and it's soooo loud! Either the headphones suck ass or its jus damn loud lol
Why get the 36 instead of the 30? All of the specs are the same except for .14 inches in width. If you have very small hands, obviously you should go with the 36, but otherwise I'd say take the 4 extra rounds in the 30. You also have the ability to use the 21 magazines for 13 rounds.
Gaston Glock is just incredible. Not bad for a person who never had any experience with firearms. This was a man whos trade was making tools and curtain rods then out of no where he made one of the best handsguns in the world. Glock is the next best thing to John M. Browning when it comes to making firearms.
A compact 1911 in .45 ACP is hard to beat (0.90" slide thickness!), but the Kahr CW45 is also nice - light, thin, good looks, and costs less than most Glocks. Giving up nearly half your mag capacity just to be 0.05" thinner than the G30 is just plain silly, especially when the G36's other dimensions are nearly identical to the G30. Heck, for only having 6 shots and still being thick and kinda heavy (and expensive), even a lightweight .357 Magnum snubby revolver makes more sense than the G36.
@sootch00 I know this has nothing to do with this video but I am in extreme need of 7.62x54 ammo in bulk that is non-corrosive. I recently picked up a Mosin Nagant and its ammo is not cheap. I would love if you could recommend a website or chain store that carries this round. Thanks!
Thanks for another great review Sootch00. I've been thinking about up-calibering for a while. The 9mm is great but us Americans are big people and the 9mm doesn't automatically stop crazy dope fiends. I've been watching the news lately and crimminals are almost never carrying 9mms these days. Someone whose actually been under stress told me once that the first 3 or 4 shots usually settles an issue unless its a gang situation.
Great review. Personally, I'm not a fan of the 36. I don't like the small capacity and I don't like .45ACP out of such a short barrel. I would much, much rather have a 26. You get more rounds, and you have the ability to use a G17 or G19 mag as a spare reload. That is not possible with the 36's proprietary magazines.
@GOLDSILVERDUDE But the point of this pistol is to be a highly concealable firearm with a hard hitting caliber, and silly comparison, g19's not subcompact slimline but compact and is chambered in 9mm, and correct me if I'm wrong but to the g19's 15 rounds + 1 unless you use the 17 round magazine of the g17 or the 33 round magazine, and the 9mm's a less effective cartridge
@sootch00 I couldn't find that website but 1791appareldotcom seems to have similarly designed shirts. Is that the one you meant or is this a different site?
One of Glocks best guns. I hope to see them come out with some newer single stack .380 and 9mm ccw designs along these lines but more to go up against cw9 and LC9.
Only two issues I had with the G-36 is the barrel flip was pronounced, especially compared to the 1911. Also, after firing over 1000 rounds through one, the only ammo I had any problem with was some frangible rounds that popped their bullets from the casing. No problem with the Federal Hydra-shok at all, and it's my fav for EDC.
@MasterTaters for one, reloading is much faster on an auto. and the G36 is very light. anyone who would complain about its weight shouldnt be shooting a gun anyway, they are sissies and im surprised they can handle recoil of a .22.
@SNIPERSTEVE420 11 oz j frames which pack greater power than this. And do you conceal in fallujah? Who needs to reload, easily fixed by moon clips, anyone who needs more than 6 rounds of that sort of power shouldnt be shooting a gun..
@SNIPERSTEVE420 Im sorry, so you ARE in fallujah then. You must face armed groups of drugged up insurgents every day. I didn't know you were in delta force bro. Are you kidding.. 10? What ifs have nothing to do with the real world.
@MasterTaters thats the thing, you cant predict the real world, you never know what could happen. and no im not in delta force or in fallujah or anything like that. i have no idea what that even has to do with this.
@MasterTaters Which revolvers are lighter than a glock? I'm not trying to sound snarky, I'm just curious. I could've sworn most, if not all, 6 shooter revolvers are heavy chunks of steel compared to the polymer glock
@BitFox Smith and wesson j frames for one, hammerless or hammered, 2 inch or 4 inch barrels, are lighter than this(Loaded too), The ruger lcr, and like models(Many copies)
