I really want to try this. I always go to the salon to get heavy highlights bc I'm horrible with hair but I can't afford it right now. I'm afraid to use bleach on my hair bc I'll mess it up. My hair is naturally a dark ash blonde also but it pulls red. Do you have that issue also with "natural" blonde dyes? Thanks for the help
@ktangelbaby8 I have natural dark ash blonde hair too. I have a red tone in my hair but can't use any ash. I would do a test on a Ash # and the 03 to see which color you like better. In your case, with the red the ash might be better for you BUT I'm not a hairstylist so i don't know. Def. do a test run with a strand from the back of your head first. :) Let me know how it goes. Good luck!
Thanks! I've been using bleach on my roots and I'm sick of drying my hair out just for yellow roots and then I have to tone it too, I'm going to try this next time I have to touch up!
@pammyxjean Oh, happy to help you to step away from that bleach. Your hair is going to love you after using this. lol Let me know how it goes :) It may not turn as white as the beach does but it will sure be more healthy for the hair.
OKAY SO! i have dark brown/black roots and my hair is a blonde beige colour (I got it colored blonde at a salon) 3 times. i just bought a box bleaching system for my hair. i plan on doing my roots and bleaching my hair so it's lighter. do you suggest i bleach my roots first and then bleach the rest of my hair? i bought two boxes just in case (garnier nutrisse blonde D+ extra bleach) and i also bought a toner/ brass banisher (l'oreal). PLEASE HELP I PLAN ON DOING MY HAIR TMRW!!!
@sosolovelyy Ahh...I'm not sure if that would work. I would be careful with two much processing. You might get a lot of damage with all of that. If you bleach and then wait a couple of days then color, maybe that would work but I'm not sure since I've never done that before. And I'm no professional. I'm just a girl who colors my own hair. I also have naturally dark dirty blonde hair. Sorry I'm not much help. Good luck!
So question regarding this hair dye box. I used to use Revlon Colorsilk 05 Ultra light ash blonde, but was wondering is the 04 better if you do not want it white so much since it says ultra light blonde
@stephaniemoresco21 i wish I could answer that but I really don't know. I can't use anything Ash because it turns me completely gray. If the 05 gets you pretty light, than the 04 would def get you lighter, so I would go with a higher number (above 5). Hope that helps! Good luck!
I went and bought this right after I saw this video, i was looking for something to touch up my light brown/dark blonde roots and make them match my very light blonde hair, and it worked amazingly, and it only took like 15 mins to lighten to the right level!
awww i love your video i cant wait to stop using bleach and try this out cuz im tired of using bleach for my roots i got blond hair but i get soo frustrated with my roots now im soo excited to try this out hopefully it works cuz i got dark brown hair
thank you so much for your help.. I really appreciate it... but one more question...next time I dye my hair will it only be the new growth that turns gold? i had a lot of new growth last time so thats why my head has a lot of gold at the top ... but since that new growth is already dyed now, next time will that part be lighter and not as gold? not sure if I explained that good enough, but do you know what I'm saying?
@aVisa518 Yes, only your new growth will turn gold and the part that you colored previously will get lighter because you will probably overlap when retouching your new roots. That's exactly how my hair worked at least and I was using this color for almost 15 years. I'm pretty sure the same will happen to yours if your roots just turned a little gold. :)
hey I have naturally dirty blonde hair... I had highlights in there and and about an inch and a half of root growth so I put colorsilk ultra light sun blonde (03) it blended my color out really well but... my roots pulled golden... i haven't washed it since i colored...hopefully the golden will wash out... what do you think? and when i go to redo it again will it pull golden again on the previous roots?
Hi @aVisa518! Great to hear it blended well. Most people I know that use this after I tell them, LOVE IT! Yes, the gold will fade. I was always gold at first and then it faded. It will happen every time you color your hair but will always fade and get lighter the more you wash :) Hope that helps and so happy you like it!
I have bleach hair for many years but is kinda yellow, so if i put this dye on my bleach hair it will lighten my blonde? Is not very yellow, is kinda pale but i want it more light. I mean is not a prb right? thank you alot. I love your hair.
@KatyAngel24 Hey! Unfortunately, I can't tell you exactly what it will do. I'm not a hairstylist and am not sure what your natural color is. BUT I can tell you that when I colored over mine, it got really light :) Hope this helps!
hi , i would like to take your advise about coloring my hair , i went to lottt of saloons and no one could ever get me the blonde hair its always either orange or yellow ! i have a verrrrrryyy dark brown hair with some ugly highlights ! how can i get this color as highlights ! thank you *^_^* and i saw ur video as brunette ! u look totally gorgeous ! and there is no way ur turning 30 !!!! oh myyyy i wish i will look that gr8 when am ur age !
@amanikh86 Hmm...I'm not sure how to help. :( If they used bleach on your hair at the salon and it still pulled orange, this color will be even more orange. Your hair may just be to dark to go this blonde. My natural hair color is a dark dirty blonde, so it's easy to get this blonde. If they didn't use bleach at the salon, maybe you should try that. If your a dark brown, that might be the only way. Thanks for the sweet compliment. I love be a brunette :)
When you say you use 03 & 04 do you use them together, or do you rotate using them when you color? Also if your coloring your hair that color the first time, can that be used all over. Your hair color is gorgeous, mine used to be that color then I got some highlights added in but I'm now wanting to go back to that color, so I would have to color my whole head! Thanks a bunch!
Oh I see, you only do your roots thats why it stays in such good condition. One more quick question, I used the 05 twice and it Really hurt my scalp. I burned and itched for weeks. Did you have this problem when you were using the product?
@jolivew271 Exactly. I also once a month sleep with a deep conditioner in overnight. I was using fructise but for some reason cannot find them in any store right now. I'm not sure if it's out of stock or they don't make it anymore. Boo for me!
Yes, I had both. Itching and burning but not for weeks. Def be careful. Your skin may be more sensitive than mine or you could be allergic to it :/
Hi @jolivew271 Your not bugging me :) Ask ask and ask away! I'm no longer this blonde but when I was (for 14 years!!) I would just do my roots. If you color all your hair every time you touch up, it will really damage it. I would just color the roots and overlap a little from the previous month. Hope that helps!
Your hair looks so pretty! How come you don't color the back of your hair? I am a mom too and have just started using the product but actually I used the 05.
hey @jolivew271, I just did that to be different. I liked the style but I'm actually all brunette now. I still use Colorsilk but med brown :) I have to admit, blondes don't have more fun! haha
Love this video, I use the Blondissima bleach on my roots, then I wait the next day, and put in the Nice and Easy light ash blonde... I would love to get rid of having to do a two step process, ..also, I find the Nice and Easy , the smell is so strong it makes my eyes water, and it s getting harder and harder on my lungs. My natural color is medium brown. I would like to know, Do you think I can do this without a bleach first, and how strong is the smell? Thanks
one other thing I am still tryn to get rid of cooper reddish in my hair I have done toners, purple shampoos, bleaching and manic panic snow white to tone down how do u think this color u are recommending would show on the reddish parts?
@smoothies4life I would love to suggest and say yes but I really am not sure. When I would do a touch-up my roots were always golden and after a few days of washing and drying they would get lighter by the day but I'm not sure with red. Try and dark dirty blonde with your natural dark color. I bet that would be pretty :)
Hello what was the color again on the box? I have been bleaching my hair to get to blonde as light as possible, and I am gettn to the point I need to start dyeing blonde to even out the hair color? any suggestions? I have jett black hair so tired of it
@smoothies4life It's 03 or 04. I really can't tell you how it would come out with having jet black hair. My hair is naturally a dirty blonde. I think bleach might be your only option to get as light as I was (not blonde anymore :p) Sorry I can't be of more help
My hair it is allready light blonde but i want it more white. Can i apply that dye in my blonde hair to make it more light? Ty! On my roots i only use bleach.
@tarabucci yes me too, my hair is pretty dark, but it worked really well.
well i was just doing my roots since i had bleached my hair before, so my roots were super dark, almost black, and it came out a nice blonde color, so my hair looks natural now :D btw, yes i looove your hair!
@MarschesaDash Ohh awesome! I always get nervous when people ask if their hair would come out the same color because I have no clue what their natural hair color is. But so glad to hear yours worked well!
Your hair is beautiful too! Can't beat $3 buckaroos! :)
I love Revlon & always go back to it. Yes it's super cheap when it comes to price. I use their lightest color, number 05 Ultra Light Ash Blonde. For me at least it turns my dark brown hair to a really pale white blonde. Really cool & for just $2.50 @ Walmart it's win. I have a lot of long hair so I have to use four boxes.
