@kotachan I think you'll find that it actually happened at a gig in the Arches, Glasgow. It was the mic stand, but it was definitely in Glasgow. If I recall correctly, he was also hit in the balls with a snooker ball at the same show.

FNM did play twice on TFI Friday - May & Dec (I think) in 1997. Patton had a scar on his head from a previous show where he was on stage - just some info - good to see these performances again TY :)
