Im from clermont NY and the rule is if u have more then one blue/green light unless its a light bar you can get in trouble. Trust me i tried to set my car up with more then one light and got in trouble.
in MA theres a red light fee. u have to have a permit which is 50$ for each one the first one is free but every light after that u have to renew the permit every to years 50$
nys says only 1 blue or green allowed, but on long island just about every volly has multiple blue and green cause the cops dont really enforce that law, cause the more lights mean more visiblity and that means a quicker response, unless you get stuck behind people from the city who wont pull over for you even if you are in an ambulance or fire truck with lights and sirens, people just dont care unless its there house on fire or they need ems then they want you there right away.
if you do that in Belgium its called obstruct a peramedic or a cop and the fire fighters / peramedic's / cop's have the autority to wright down your license plate and you can get a HUGE TICKET if you don't get out of the way, maybe they shoul bring that rule in over there :d

how soon after i join u htink i can get my lights?
do u think my dept. chooses the lights or do i have to go somehwere and get tem done?

Another illegal NY vol. ambulance setup. You are only allowed to have only ONE green light, and strobes are not allowed.
