FYI Irwin Schiff was a convicted tax felon and author of 'The Federal Mafia'. In 1995 Schiff was sent to prison twice for tax crimes. It had something to do with selling tax avoidance advise similar to the swindler Joe Sweet of the Joy Foundation that Ron Paul was keynote speaker for in 2001 in Cancun. Things turned around for Schiff in 2000 after the business hearings with Senator Roth. Schiff owned a bookstore in Vagas, Freedom Books, that sold the most of Roth's book about the IRS.
I've seen Peter's Dad other places, he is one brave man, as is Peter. Not many people would be brave enough to do the right thing with the same possible consequences, the consequences created by people that are wrong. Man, corruption of power is hard to fix because of the nature of the people in power. It is people like Peter and his dad that can make a difference. After you accept reality, I guess there's not much to be afraid of. I like to see people tell it like they see it. Go Peter S!
The apple truly does not fall far from the tree. Two true patriots in Schiff and his father. Thank you for posting this interview. It was well conducted.
Very interesting discussion...... nice to get a bit beyond the standard talking points, probably thanks to an interviewer who actually bothers to be intelligent.
Irwin Schiff is an American hero.

Thats hilarious. Senate run and tax evasion in the same interview.
The more I see of Peter Schiff, the more I like him. His father sounds like even more of a hero than he is. What a great family.

Not Erwin Schiff, he chooses to spend that time in prison

He is goona be rockin' during the depression: free food/shelter/internet and cool police chicks to look at 24/7.

Interviewer sucks!
SCHIFF: "Tim Geither is obviously a much bigger tax criminal than my father, because --"
And the interviewer chooses this moment to interrupt with some joke you can't even hear.
Learn to STFU when interviewing.

Great questions asked to Mr. Shiff.
The interviewer asked questions I would wanted to ask Peter Schiff.
