By they way, the Bible does say several times that a man should just have one wife.

Titus 1:6- "An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife..."

1 Timothy 3:2- "Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife..."

@candyclovers the word translated into "one" is the Greek word mia, which means first. Even so, this does not prohibit leaders from having more than one wife. A husband is a redeemer of the woman as Messiah is the redeemer of those who repent and live according to His commands.

The reason that Polyandry is not scriptural is that God establishes the Man as the head of the house. God holds man accountable for everything that goes on under his roof.There cannot be two heads it is confusion. Polyandry and homosexuality goes against the order that God has established

@OptimisticLock Mark is talking about the Bible's definition of polygamy, which is one man having more than one wife. While he focuses on Biblical marriage, he is also saying that government should get out of regulating marriage.

I'm glad to hear an evangelical advocating and end to socialized marriage. Right on. My only question is, how is equality for all not a win for conservatives? Hopefully equality is a win for everyone.
