81 trans am had the 301(4.9) turbo v8 why does it say 6.6 (400) on the scope unless that's from a 77-79 trans am!

has a cheap repaint and 78-80 decals that y it says 6.6,its a 305 sbc car only way to get the 4spd in 81

I dont know if this applies to trans ams but canadian 1981 camaros still had a 350 small block in them but in the u.s they only had a 305 small block. I dont know mabey its just the camaro but could u correct me if i am wrong.

Well, that might have been an option but The 1980 and up Trans Am came with the 301 Turbo or a basic 301.. The 301 was easier on the gas tank, yet it wasn't quite powerful enough.

My friend that was a totally beautiful t/a. I was sitting here watching this vid with my 4 year old and even he was like "daddy you like trans-am!" I said yes honey, daddy loves trans-ams! I miss mine so much I can hardly wait two more years to buy one like I had. I hope the new owner baby's this girl! BEAUTIFUL CAR! I should buy one from the states.

HERE HERE! Although I love the new mustang and challenger, I have to admit there is nothing like the beautiful lines of the older trans-am. And the way they sound is amazing!
