  • Wish cole would do this and NOT come back ever ! Lol

  • WWF at it's best in and out of the ring.

  • wow I had no idea Schiavonne worked for WWF

  • @tehCrazian You were probably sleeping in that day.

Seriously, though, Tony's tenure in the WWF was really brief, less than a year, mid '89 to early '90.

  • @tehCrazian Me neither. I was about to make the same comment before I saw yours.

  • Classic Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon fight. WWF was awesome back on those days.

  • As a consolation prize i would have loved to see Gorilla and a heel Jerry Lawler do commentary

  • This is epic

  • I've never seen this before, absolutely brilliant! Another classic Gorilla and Heenan moment, love the way Schiavone tries to carry on calling the match while Gorilla and Bobby are shouting at each other - pure genius!

  • They were really the best of friends.

  • Is this a real fight between Monsoon and Heenan? Like was this staged like the majority of wrestling or were they just sick of eachother?

  • It was staged. Heenan and Monsoon were very close friends in real life.

  • @VHTLtdDimarzio don't be such a mark. it was a gimmick you dumb fuck

  • when will dave paradise come back?!?!

  • This was great! Gorilla and Bobby yelling at each other while Tony keeps trying to call the match. Hysterical! Gorilla and Heenan were gold together. Often their bickering overshadowed the match they were calling.

  • ah my favourite wrestler of all time.... dave paradise.

  • @akuma4u Dave who??

  • @briank06261973 paradise, dave paradise. the guy perfect is wrestling in this video.

  • Bobby Heenan also left "Prime Time Wrestling".

  • man i used to think the female ring announcer, back in the late 80's early 90's was so hot, now i say what the hell

  • @palletbitch Mike McGuirk (yes, that is her name) never did anything for me. Maybe it was the tux, but she just didn't capture my interest. A lot of people don't remember her. I remember being at a convention and having to explain to the guy behind me who she was.

  • The funny thing is, everything Heenan says in his rant is completely correct. For about a month or two, they had Wrestling Challenge with just Gorilla and Schivoane, and it was god awful borring without Heenan. Many fans, even the ones who chanted "Weasel" were complaining and said they wanted Heenan back on. Within two or three months Heenan would be back on Wrestling Challenge and Schiovane left for WCW.

  • Schiavone sucks.

  • i love how most of the audience was watching heenan instead of the squash match

  • the good ole days. only heenan as an announcer can garner more reaction and heat from the crowd then the match going on in the ring lol

  • @charismatic9904 What do you mean? Micheal Cole does this week in week out... granted he's not a beloved villain like Heenan was at this point in time (though Heenan needed to fear for his live in his early days). Cole is in many ways a modern day Bobby Heenan, the question is whether or not years from now he can become a beloved villain just like Heenan did.

  • @RicoLen1

    no, Cole sucks

  • @judahsong Not really. He's too strong, the face commentators are the ones that suck, they don't serve as a credible foil to Cole. Cole is actually very talented. He's got his catch phrases, he's good at both play by play and color commentary. People hate him, he's a heel. Heenan and Piper got attacked by fans they were hated so much in their early days, Piper was nearly stabbed to death.

There's nothing you can legitimately say about Cole that you can't say about a young Heenan.

  • @judahsong The real problem is King, not Cole. King Cole is not a good combination. King can't act as a strong foil to make Cole look dumb, which is all that's needed. The problem isn't that we need another Heenan, the problem is that we need another Monsoon.

  • @RicoLen1

    Great analysis!

  • @RicoLen1 why dont you admit they both suck a bag of dicks.. they should bring back tony holy nitro schiovani

  • @SpaceMountainWOOOOOO I'll admit the combo they have right now doesn't work at all. King and JR were good back in the day, when JR was play by play and King was color/heel.

Cole doesn't have a thing wrong with him, either has a face or a heel. The only problem is that he's very strong and doing his job as a heel too well. Not a negative against him really. He just needs someone with him that makes him look like a fool and suddenly everyone will love both him & the other guy

  • @SpaceMountainWOOOOOO Seriously, I can't stress enough how much people used to hate Bobby Heenan. It was only until he was paired with Gorilla Monsoon that suddenly they became a hilarious combo and people started loving to hate Heenan.

Cole is great at everything he does. I don't like him, you don't like him, but that's not his fault, he's a heel, we're supposed to hate him. Make him impotent with a strong foil and everything will be fine. But we don't have that foil.

  • @RicoLen1 you dont understand... i thought cole was shit when he was a face for 10 years..

  • @SpaceMountainWOOOOOO Well that's a different argument. I'm sure as a fan of Tony Schovonie (sp) you get flamed a lot over that. I don't dislike him myself, in fact I liked the WCW crew for the most part. My point is that everyone has their likes and dislikes and that's fine. Cole is good at what he does, there's really no debating that. If you don't like him and hate everything he says within the role of a pro-wrestling commentator, that's a different argument.

  • Will you stop! Love it when Monsoon said that to Heenan or when he called him a fountain of misinformation. RIP Gorilla.

  • If I didn't know better, I'd swear Bobby and Monsoon didn't get along. In real life, they were the best of friends!

  • @MrsWLeach They were the perfect duo. Never been anything like it since. Have you seen Bobby at the Hall of Fame when he speaks about the Gorillia brings a tear to your eye.

  • Dave Paradise was a tremendous athlete.

  • Back then I was mortified Schavone was on the program and Heenan was leaving. Never liked that twit replacing Gordon Solie back in 85'. Heenan is the ultimate comedian and heel. It was horrible that Schavone gave Heenan crap later on at WCW. Schavone will never make the HOF in my book. Solie and Heenan did.

  • LOL You got to love and deeply admire how brilliant the chemistry was between Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan, I grew up virtually loving Wrestling and it was something I became hooked on where as now it's just silly kiddies PG crap that nobody including myself gives a rat's ass about, this segment involving both Monsoon and Heenan screaming continously at each other was just very golden made Wrestling back then so enjoyable and not forgetting of course the really Glorious Attitude era, RIP

  • Gotta love Heenan, Perfect and Monsoon!

  • RIP Curt Mr.Perfect Hennig and Robert Gorilla Monsoon Marella.

  • Marella was also Monsoon's son in real life...very sad.

  • @carlejomom78 Perfect and Owen Hart are 2 of the greatest to never be World Champion!

  • was this show at the former niagara falls convention and civc center? if so i may have been there, i went to a show there when i was about 6 years old in 1990...

  • @domirules28 >>> if so i may have been there, i went to a show there when i was about 6 years old in 1990...

I think this took place in the summer of 1989...so I'm not sure if this was the show you were at.

  • @msm1876 Yeah, this show had to take place in 89. Perfect didn't even come out to his music that he his known for.

  • Yep. This was July 1989, just about the same time The Bobby Heenan Show started on USA (and this angle was a tie-in with that, especially evident at 3:45).

  • I like how Tony keeps trying to focus all the attention back to the match at hand, like anyone gives a shit about it... it's always a pleasure to see Perfect wrestle, even against jobbers, but any time anything even remotely interesting happens during a "Wrestling Challenge"... for God's sake, make it the center of attention. Heenan was and is a master. He just stands up at the booth and points a finger at Moonsoon and has everyone in the whole arena chanting "Weasel." Schiavone is deadwood.

  • @MalnourishedGoat Was this real?

  • @at1212b No, it was all part of an angle. Despite their on-air bickering, Monsoon and Heenan were the closest of friends in real life.

  • @MalnourishedGoat Oh yea, I'm definitely aware of their legendary friendship, but I was just thinking, maybe there was some heat between Shiavone bc maybe Bobby did find him annoying.

Or maybe there was some 'heat' between the two, so they actually turned it into a bit of a angle (its just that back then, they rarely made the announcers a part of the angle)

  • love this new vid with bobby! finally a new video of bobby heenan
