If you are experienced with big snakes you have money and space for it them you should get one they make very good pets I could not have a snake collection of over 1000snakes and one of them not be a berm or retic or ando
@ericrules95 The black market. * NOTE: The black market is an illegal pet trading industry that is used to transport exotic animals from their native country.*
Retic's burm's and green anaconda's can all be very tame when they are older, I think it's safe to say that if you Can fit an 8x4x4 viv in a certain room in your house then they can be kept in an average household, Im not recommending these snake's but im also pointing out that aslong as someone is experienced with larger snake's they shouldnt have to much trouble keeping these :)
I think it is fairly obvious that this video is aimed at people who don't have a lot of experience with snakes, not experienced keepers/breeders. In which case large snake breeds are most definately not recommended as pets by anyone with even the smallest degree of common sense.
@MrSyntheticDesign wow... why so defensive? lol i didn't have a problem with it, i just simply didnt understand it as it made absoluetely no sense. but thanks though, your anger amuses me:)
Have you noticed how she didnt mention ablut rock pythons which are capable of 16ft plus and normally have a mean disposition? Or the stimsons python which can easily obatain 10ft plus. expertvillage is a bucket if shit
I think people could own venomous snakes as pets as long as they are careful and mature about pets. My family friend owned a western diamond back rattlesnake that he caught in Airzona when they stopped to take a picture on the road. He was very good pet owner and could handle it withought getting bit or anything, he even HELD it and it was very docile and did not bite him beacuse he domesticated it very well and antivenoumed him too, it still has very large fangs and teeth and can still kill u
anaconda's wtf ! isn't that fuckin common sense not to get them ? no one has watched the film anaconda and said "wow i want one of them as a pet" and loads of people have pythons, this video was bollocks !
Fuck you lady, I agree that some/most pythons get large but that's no reason to not keep them (apart from anacondas) as long as they are in decent enclosures and looked after who cares.
And about the Poisonous snake bull shit, yes some pritty snakes are venomous but still that is no reason not to keep them as long as you have the correct tools and training what's the difference.
omg this is another twat that fucking uses the same insult "thanks for proving my point" actually, how many times have i heard that, what a pathetic little boy

what a load of shit shall "i upload a vid of make shagging some bhurd so you know im not a virgin aswell shall i?" what was the point of that, i dont want to know let alone care about that
Hello I really want a pet snake but I do not want to feed it mice, is there any snake types/species that can maybe just eat small chunks of fish or maybe large crickets? And maybe a type that stays very small and that are not aggressive?
she is fucking retarded they dont even have venemous snakes at a store you have to order them i hate these expert village videos they know NOTHING about snakes..this video is useless its common sense!!!!!!!
Yeah and be careful: dont drink and drive, overdose on prescription meds, or smoke at a gas station. Thats dangerous too. Really this is common sense!
i agree with being care full when getting a venimas snake. people only bey venimas snakes if they know how to care for them. breaders dont just go around the mall tring to sell a rattle snake to fuchen 2 year old kids.
why would they make video of why not to buy a snake. people do research before they buy a snake that grows to be over 15ft long. were not fucken retarded.this is a retarded video
unfortunately though, a lot of the burmese and retic owners are not the good ones. the animal grows bigger then expected and then they release them into the wild. hence act hr669. that is why petland doesnt reccomend them as pets, because first time buyers have no business having a large breed of snake. in fact, most petland dont even sell boas.
PUSSY!!!!!"we dont recommend burmese pythons, anacondas, or reticulated pythons, dnt get venomous snakes, they could be dangerous"....no shit.....just get one that causes swelling and stuff not death....if u get a fatal one, just watch out and dnt b a dumbass
She's aiming this at first-time inexperienced keepers, who might not know what they're getting themselves into. An experienced hobbyist capable of adequately caring for 'dangerous' snakes wouldn't be taking advice from such videos anyway. It's my understanding that Burmese pythons are relatively docile though, just difficult to handle and keep purely because of their size.
These large snakes need a supply of food by order of deer, sheep, pigs, or other large sized animals once every 6months to a year i believe.
That is quite a meal to provide for something that is going to take the easiest meal, which is really the human as we have no hooves, horns, nor teeth worth mentioning.
way way way wrong...feeder rabbits are readily available for a food source for the larger pet breeds. Plus, a pet snake will take the animal over the human, especially a pet snake because it associates us as the source of food, not the food itself. people who have been killed by their large pet snakes are hardly ever eaten. I actually have never heard of a human being eaten by a pet snake, only killed because of mishandling.
Ok, If snakes do not make good pets then why dose your pet store sell them? I think this video is ver unedcational and uncorrect! Depending on the species of snake you have snake like retics, anacondas, rock pythons, bumeese pythons, and scrub pythons aceed a very large length, those don't make good pets! But smaller snakes like balls, kings, gartners, rats, and childrens pythons are small and just as intersting!
Would you recommend a beginner in shooting to start with a .50 BMG (Burm Python equivalent) or even a 20mm Vulcan (Green Anaconda equiv.)? Guess no. But nevertheless, my local gunsmith sell such giant big bore-guns too for those, who shoot since many, many years and know how to shoot and handle them properly, and he do not recommend them for beginners too. So, why should they not sell burms, retics or anacondas in this pet-shop for the experienced?
I ask myself the smae question............. Just like venomous snakes!!!!!!! HOT HOT HOT!!! The equivlent of holding a Ak 47 to your head with your finger on a triger!
Better is to make always sure that it is unloaded if you handle/clean it and pointing the muzzle always in a safe direction to prolonging your health or life ;-)
Also have you never heard of dwarf retics or burms. there are some dwarf retics that only get like 6 or 7 feet and dwarf burms get ... well idk that but they are expensive like $2000 but there are dwarf retics that are only like $400 and that's pretty cheap for a retic since there are some morphs that cost upwards of $15,000
you wrong about anacondas, only green anacondas get big. Yellow anacondas only get like 10-12 feet for females and 8-10 for males and that's not very big. anyone who knows anything about snakes should know this. I know this and im only 12 but then again i know more about snakes than a lot of adults i've met, im not bragging its true.
i dont think you need a so called "expert" to tell you that a venomous snake isnt the best idea for a pet or such things as anacondas or burms, retics arent always that bad but its good to have someone with you
inuit55...you mean an asp? There's a line between brave and dumb and your friend has crossed that if he's even considered keeping an asp. But to the lady on the video...I keep a yellow anaconda and they only get to 8 feet long.
and also he had cobras and reticluated pythoins burmese pythons and other cool snakes and the cobra he had was the kind tht supposedly killed Cleopatra
if ya hv neva had a snake before i would recomend corn snakes, rat snake and garter snakes . but if u r going 2 want a snake thats grows abit bigger than them get a red tail boa or a brazilian rainbow boa . jus remember female boas get alot bigger than males. go buy a snake they r great pets
boa's are the way to go, they look so amazing, very friendly (except for maybe when they're in shed), awesome feeding response, great strength and the size!
bull crap boas are the best for first time owners.....pythons i agreaa retics grown to fast and are mean and andaconda will eat u but i have never had and trouble with my boa
I'm watching this as I hold my 14ft reticulated python. Haha this snake is so nice and has never bit me

if ya hv neva had a snake before i would recomend corn snakes, rat snake and garter snakes . but if u r going 2 want a snake thats grows abit bigger than them get a red tail boa or a brazilian rainbow boa . jus remember female boas get alot bigger than males. go buy a snake they r great pets

boas r beta in my opinion
zac1099 3 years ago
boa's are the way to go, they look so amazing, very friendly (except for maybe when they're in shed), awesome feeding response, great strength and the size!
dopeking2003 2 years ago
Brazilian Rainbows are NOT a good beginner snake because of its humidity requrements. Stick with a ball python if it's your first.

No, She says Burms are not good beginner snakes. They are, however, very rewarding snakes to keep! I love my albino burm, he's a cuddlebug.
