For his size he has very thin legs, especially his calves. He would be in trouble if he fought a kicker like Cro Cop as i think he would break his legs with one kick.

Most proffesional fighters of any will do that. When you fight someone (in the ring/cage) you normally dont hate them, you fight for the competition. Most of the hate sessions between fighters is a put on to promote a fight.

you underestimate the power of mixed martial arts. tyson is a great fighter, but he cant defend himself against kicks or ground fighting. if tyson trained in muay thai and brazilian ju jitsu he would be an excellent match for kimbo.
I do not know Kimbo personally, but I like the fact he does not give up and he is smarter than people are giving him credit for. Heck he has promotioned himself from Youtube to fighting a ex-boxing champ. Another Florida boy.
Watch his bareknuckle fights and you'd know that this guy wasn't just some street thug. He was fighting like nothing his opponents were throwing at him. His boxing was quite technical and he integrated his power into his punches quite effectively. He bobbed and weaved around his opponent's punches and countered with well-placed shots and would get the upper hand.
I agree hes not the most seasoned fighter or the most experience but I believe that he has what it personally takes to be a good fighter. Hes had to literally fight for what he has which is a lot more than most people can say. I think with time, training, and practice, he will gain the respect of many.

Most proffesional fighters of any will do that. When you fight someone (in the ring/cage) you normally dont hate them, you fight for the competition. Most of the hate sessions between fighters is a put on to promote a fight.

yeah kimbo can learn alot trainging with mma fighters cuz in his street fights he leaves alot of fuckin open shotss for example kicks an knees ad he keeps his hands down when he strikes but other then that hes an all around tough ass

I agree. He hits like tyson but looks slow and vunerable if he gets to the floor. Even the middle weight ifl dudes could make him tap out if it went to the floor.

When i first saw him i honestly thought he was an arrogant idiot, but after watching his interview on youtube he seems kool man i like him and hope he does something with tthat massive build and power of his, However, if this kimbo went into a bare knuckle fight with tyson, he would not last 30 seconds, look what tyson done to people with his gloves on, imagine if them gloves came off, and tyson is someone who really came off the streets, but all the best to kimbo nice man

you underestimate the power of mixed martial arts. tyson is a great fighter, but he cant defend himself against kicks or ground fighting. if tyson trained in muay thai and brazilian ju jitsu he would be an excellent match for kimbo.

I do not know Kimbo personally, but I like the fact he does not give up and he is smarter than people are giving him credit for. Heck he has promotioned himself from Youtube to fighting a ex-boxing champ. Another Florida boy.

Watch his bareknuckle fights and you'd know that this guy wasn't just some street thug. He was fighting like nothing his opponents were throwing at him. His boxing was quite technical and he integrated his power into his punches quite effectively. He bobbed and weaved around his opponent's punches and countered with well-placed shots and would get the upper hand.
You can say that he's not your ordinary thug.

I agree hes not the most seasoned fighter or the most experience but I believe that he has what it personally takes to be a good fighter. Hes had to literally fight for what he has which is a lot more than most people can say. I think with time, training, and practice, he will gain the respect of many.

Give the guy (Kimbo) a break, he just got discovered. I'm sure if he had the opportunity he would've started earlier and been great, but he's just starting. Who goes in the ring with the best fighter as a rookie in any contact sport. He has to work his way up.

Kimbo needs to get in the Ring with Brock Lesnar instead of fighting a 45 year old fat out of shape boxer Im sure at one time Mercer had to be Tough but hes 46? No matter how much you know your body can only take so much But either way Kimbo is a big strong guy but no way he could take Brock =).

look at 2.05 kimbo was in side control and then he got sweeped with ease.and at 3.15 where kimbo is being toute how to do side control.and then he did not even know that he had to keep his hips clouse to the ground in side control. all that is the sort of stuff youll learn in the first week of bjj and if he dont even know that at thise stage then he ant got no chance up against a grapler. and he is now 32, i think his left it to late to be champ of mma. hope he proves me wroung

No disrespect to anyone, but to sit hear and read about you all praising Kimbo is absured. Don't get me wrong, he's a great fighter and with the right training he can be one of the best. But that is far from now and if he stepped into the ring with a seasoned MMA fighter he would get ran through. anyone with the balls to enter that octagon has my respect and that I give to him. But i'm not going to sit here and listen to you all call him the best already, He barely started.

I'm not a "KIMBO hater" but Mercer looked like shit and had no type of MMA going for him. I'm glad Kimbo is off tha street fights and in a respectable class now, but until he beats a TRUE MMA fighter I just can't really give him much credit. He did a real good job non the less, but let's not get carried away here. And yes Bas Rutten is a legend, and Kimbo is fortunate to have trained with him.
