@jakeith212 I really liked Cadillac Records and think that Beyonce did a very good job. What I am sorry about it that the movie has tied Etta to Beyonce forever for people that didn't know of Etta beforehand. Both can be enjoyed, or not, on their on merit without comparison.

Etta is a pioneer in her own right and should be acknowledged as such. She did not have sympathizers and the likes to improve to depend on for quality sound . That came natural.

Even with Etta James extreme body weight changes her voice remained the same, husky..focused..sharp and clean! time hasnt changed her vocal abilities
at all. If she lives to be 90 I know she could still blow and bring a house down.
