yeah I figured someone ignorant like you would say something when I was trying to be nice. you need to stop going on the one fact that GM got one bailout , the news blew it up . in reality auto companies get bailouts all the time just usually from eachother or other companies like tool companies or brokers but in the resesoin the goernment was the only one willing to bailout GM but they are FINE seeing as they are sooon to be the leaders in hybred a electric trucks and cars.

Haha well maybe that has more to say something about the driver than the car itself! And the fact that you have to use your shitty language to confince me about you thoughts of chevy being better has to say enough about you and your intelligence about cars doesn't it haha!
duh chevys is not good anymore their old trucks r way better than fords though not their new vehicles fords suck ass and if u say trhey r the #1 selling truck well than congrats you saw a lieing t.v. commercial dumb ass fuck u
did i fucking say that that ford out sells chevy no u dumb fuck. i think that all trucks from 1950-1970 are very good trucks . all i said was that chevy filed for bankrupty which is true and that ford hasnt took any ballout money which is also ture. so dont be putting words in my mouth that i did not say.
yeah but look at the ground underneath the both of them, the Chevy is obviously at a disadvantage. The Chevy is on flat ground while the Ford is in a ditch which gives it more surface area to grip onto
I dont see the Chevy doing any -ruleing- Here' I just see a bronco and a blazer spinning their tires in mud...put them on the street and I bet the Ford would tow that chevy.
the more u step on the gas the greater the chance ur loosing u need to go slow cause once u brake ur tires loose u r just waiting for the other guy to pull u while u r just sliding doing a burnout
Fuck Cookie Cutter Chevy, Fords for people who take the time to rebuild an engine correct and efficiently. I'll lock my rebuilt 1988 Ford Bronco with a "302" up to any of the K5 Blazers you can find, and i'll fucking throw them around like a rag doll.
not on dirt you retard. there is less surface area of the tire touching the ground so it gets less trackion and the more tracktion the better. dumb ass
Again, are you dumb? The tires could be the same damn width, it's the diameter that's different. Even then, who's to say that the Ford isn't running mud tires and the Chevy is running street radials? Ever think about that? No, of course not, because your heads too far up your ass trying to get some air and claim the Ford is better for you to realize that the two trucks are of fairly equal size and when you get down to it, they're just two hunks of metal with solid axles trying to pull the other.
And with that, a truck is a truck, no matter what badge they wear and with the simplicity in design of these trucks, there is no way one could be better than the other simply because of the make.
dude then why u gettin pissed if they are the same... and if u look at any tires the bigger they are the wider they are. u are prolly a hybrid drivin fag
You're missing the point. The tires are very likely different, and as you SHOULD know (but I don't really know if you do) different tread patterns yield different results in offroad situations. My point was that the Ford guy could have better or worse tires than the Chevy guy- either way, neither made it anywhere so fuck it. Smaller tires yield more torque whereas wider tires yield more traction.
But whatever, I don't know why I'm trying to explain this to a mentally handicapped child.
your right, smaller tires would give more torque but seeing as how these a contests of traction and not power then that is a usless advantage. In these contests the losing truck is always spinning its tires, therefor the loser has a lack of traction, not power
Smaller tires would give you an advantage of having more power. Where you get traction from is the width of the tires- not the diameter, so if you think about it, they could have the same width tires, and then you have to think about the tread. One may have mud tires, the other may not- hell they may have the same tread tires or have street radials. There's nothing here to tell us one way or the other- but what we do have is diameter, and strictly speaking, the Ford would have an advantage.
not arguing with what you said. smaller tires do equal more power but neither of the trucks are lacking any power. There in the mud, likey in 4 low. there is no lack of power here. and i have to disagree with the diameter thing. a taller tire does have a bigger contact patch, tho wider is a more effective way to get more contact surface. as far as tread design idk, i wasnt arguing that point. This is a dumb vid tho. two equal size trucks in the mud. neither would win if they did it 50 times
smaller tires would give you horrible traction. try this, take a pencil (or pen) that's round, not a hexagon, and put your hand on it, then try to push it across the table without letting it roll. then take a CD or something taller and thinner with about the same stickiness (plastic, wood, you know). the CD is much harder to push across the table without rolling. it's because the cd actually bends on the bottom to become flat, same as the tires. microscopic with the cd though.
are you kidding? did you not just read my comment? did you actually try it? tires are flat on the bottom when there is a load on them, such as a car. so if you have a taller tire it will have more surface area on the ground. it's the same as having a flat tire, just not nearly as bad. you notice how the earth is round, but it seems flat? it's the same way with a tire. width does help, but taller you get the same result. that's why monster trucks, tractors, and dragsters have taller tires.
Now I know you're crazy. You're talking about the fact that tires, under load, will flatten out, increasing the contact patch, however, that depends on tire pressure, load weight, and the stiffness of the sidewall, and even then, there are 10.5" wide tires, that even with low pressure, the contact patch cannot be wider than a 13.5" tire at full pressure, unless you're running beadlocks, otherwise you would lose the bead or your tires are flat.
The reason dragsters run taller tires is so that when they run low tire pressure, the get what's called tire wrinkle, and that gives you and elastic effect which helps in propelling the car forward. The reason monster trucks and tractors have tall tires is for ground clearance.
ok, it's pointless to talk to you, but i will anyway. YOU DON'T GET IT, tires flatten out on the bottom. more surface area touching the ground, MORE TRACTION. and again, did you try the pencil and cd thing i told you about? tractors have taller tires, yes for ground clearance, but also for TRACTION. how do you think they pull a grader around? same with dragsters! PLEASE, USE YOUR COMMON SENSE, and EXPERIENCE! IT HELPS! i see you play games and fix computers for a living, nice experience!
Only Radials flatten out at the bottom. The pencil/cd thing is RETARDED. Why? because the plastic/wood and silicone they're made out of DO NOT FLEX AND DEFORM LIKE RUBBER.
I have a 1978 GMC K15 lifted 6" on 35" BFG All Terrains, and I go wheeling in it a LOT, and before this, I had a 1994 Jeep Cherokee 2 door with a 5 speed manual lifted 3.5" on 32" M/T Baja Claws, and yes, I wheeled that, too.
I have more than enough experience AND common sense, as well as the intelligence to tell you that you're RIGHT, but only to a POINT. You have the dragster bit all WRONG, as well as the tractor bit. The diameter has MUCH LESS to do with traction than the WIDTH. Diameter affects the contact patch MINIMALLY and increases the amount of torque required to turn them, the width of a tire SOLELY affects the contact patch. Smaller tires mean more torque gets to the ground, wider tires means more traction
ok, HAVE YOU TRIED THE PENCIL THING? it's the only way i can show you without you being right here next to me. width does have to do with traction, but not as much as diameter. EVERYTHING, even steel, deforms with pressure. which is why the cd and pen will work. and i have every doubt in my mind that you have anything other than a prius, or even that. show me your GMC and Jeep, all i see is scissor man and xbox 360 facts. that doesn't say much about tires.
A tire's contact patch is fairly rectangular in shape (kind of an oval) and the longer sides are due to width. Even then, your "pencil and CD" trick is very inaccurate, and even if there was anything to prove with it, it wouldn't be noticeable.
Send me a private message with your email. I'll send you pictures of both my Jeep (don't own anymore) and my GMC. I don't know why, but I'll prove it to you, because apparently you don't like to be wrong.
it's not even worth it, because i can easily google a picture of a jeep and a GMC with the same things as the ones you claim you have. now if you make a video, then ok, you have a jeep and a GMC. that still doesn't prove anything about what you're saying. all i can tell you is pretty much what i've already told you. if you don't believe me then it's your loss, go and use your short fat tires. i'll keep using taller ones. we are both right, they both help, but a taller tire helps better.
I have pictures of both from my driveway. I had a video up on YouTube of my truck. I'll put it up again if you would like.
Taller tires do help with traction, TO AN EXTENT, I have not denied that, but that extent is MINIMAL. The traction difference between 33x11.50" tires and 35x11.50" tires is going to be minimal, if there is any advantage at all. However, the 33" tires would have an advantage in torque, yet if the 35" tires were 12.50 wide, it would have a traction advantage.
hmm, it seems we're at a little standstill here. i have to stand my ground though, because i can easily have more traction with taller tires than wider tires. if you want torque, yes shorter tires would give you an advantage. however, shorter tires don't have the traction you need to pull someone out of a ditch. now if you have taller tires, they would, but you would need to simply lower your gears. now a taller AND wider tire will obviously have more traction. so i guess we're both right.
I don't see how you're not understanding this... The diameter of the tire affects the contact patch (what gives you traction) in a very, very minimal way, at least when you're comparing tire sizes like 32", 33", and 35", etc, where the tire size is fairly close like whats in the video. Being wider would make far more difference than being taller.
maybe i should have worded it better before. tires are hollow rubber tubes. why is this? so they can flex on the bottom. a taller tire will have more flexing on the bottom than a wider tire. not to mention that you have much more of a limit to how wide your tire can get than how tall it can get. put it this way. have one tire. now if you have one twice as tall, it has more traction than one twice as wide. it's just that simple.
If it's inflated properly, not so much. If it's at half pressure for, say, trails and rock crawling, then that's where it would really make a difference, but at proper inflation, that's not so true.
at proper inflation, it's even more true. proper inflation isn't filled up to the max. it's filled up so that the tire is flat on the ground, and not just touching on the middle. so, at proper inflation, it helps both just the same. so, at proper inflation, a taller tire still wins.
You know what, no. I'm done arguing with you, you're not getting it. There is hardly any difference at all between the two sizes on the vehicles shown in this video. I've already told you, you're right, to an extent, but the height doesn't affect traction as much as the width does.
Go look it up, or better yet, ask any experienced offroad driver. Guaranteed you'll get the same answer. Larger tires are almost solely for looks and ground clearance.
LOL going 1in taller in a tire will not put 1 more inch of tire on the ground but going 1in wider will if they are both the same height if u took a 33in by 12in tire vs 32in by 13in the 32x13 will have more rubber touching the ground
actually 1 inch taller on a tire will put 1 more inch on the ground, maybe more depending on the tire. and you also have to think about just how wide you can get a tire. you can get a much taller tire than you can get wide. now if you want to go for the most traction, like a drag race, you should obviously get a taller and wider tire.
you see it also has to do with just how tall the tire is. now if you have a tire say 2 feet tall, going wider will put less on the ground than if you have a tire 4 feet tall. and either way you still get less, unless you have a solid rubber tire.
I don't know how else to tell you, but you might want to take a listen to what others are saying, and think through what YOU are saying- you might just learn something.
Are you serious kid? Look at my profile, you'll see one of the vehicles I drive. The other is my dad's old (bless his soul) 1972 Buick Gran Sport 350.
I'm getting annoyed at your stupidity with the "OH THE FORD IS HOLDING ITS OWN EVEN WITH SMALLER TIRES" bullshit. Just because it's a Ford doesn't mean it will hold it's own with smaller tires.
Really? I have 35"x12.50" tires on my truck and my friend has 33"x12.50" tires on his. Mine are 35" in diameter, his are 33", but both are the same width
yeah chevy deff ruled because neither one of them really moved you a dumb ass

yeah but look at the ground underneath the both of them, the Chevy is obviously at a disadvantage. The Chevy is on flat ground while the Ford is in a ditch which gives it more surface area to grip onto

atownhowell083 3 years ago
the bronco has smaller tires an still held its own. FORD OWNS
NSHowe56 3 years ago
Are you dumb? The smaller tires would have given him an advantage.
Tboninator 3 years ago
not on dirt you retard. there is less surface area of the tire touching the ground so it gets less trackion and the more tracktion the better. dumb ass
NSHowe56 3 years ago
Again, are you dumb? The tires could be the same damn width, it's the diameter that's different. Even then, who's to say that the Ford isn't running mud tires and the Chevy is running street radials? Ever think about that? No, of course not, because your heads too far up your ass trying to get some air and claim the Ford is better for you to realize that the two trucks are of fairly equal size and when you get down to it, they're just two hunks of metal with solid axles trying to pull the other.
Tboninator 3 years ago 2
And with that, a truck is a truck, no matter what badge they wear and with the simplicity in design of these trucks, there is no way one could be better than the other simply because of the make.
Tboninator 3 years ago
dude then why u gettin pissed if they are the same... and if u look at any tires the bigger they are the wider they are. u are prolly a hybrid drivin fag
NSHowe56 3 years ago
and look at the tires dumb neither of them are street radials
NSHowe56 3 years ago
You're missing the point. The tires are very likely different, and as you SHOULD know (but I don't really know if you do) different tread patterns yield different results in offroad situations. My point was that the Ford guy could have better or worse tires than the Chevy guy- either way, neither made it anywhere so fuck it. Smaller tires yield more torque whereas wider tires yield more traction.
But whatever, I don't know why I'm trying to explain this to a mentally handicapped child.
Tboninator 3 years ago
your right, smaller tires would give more torque but seeing as how these a contests of traction and not power then that is a usless advantage. In these contests the losing truck is always spinning its tires, therefor the loser has a lack of traction, not power
benchn280 3 years ago
Smaller tires would give you an advantage of having more power. Where you get traction from is the width of the tires- not the diameter, so if you think about it, they could have the same width tires, and then you have to think about the tread. One may have mud tires, the other may not- hell they may have the same tread tires or have street radials. There's nothing here to tell us one way or the other- but what we do have is diameter, and strictly speaking, the Ford would have an advantage.
Tboninator 3 years ago
not arguing with what you said. smaller tires do equal more power but neither of the trucks are lacking any power. There in the mud, likey in 4 low. there is no lack of power here. and i have to disagree with the diameter thing. a taller tire does have a bigger contact patch, tho wider is a more effective way to get more contact surface. as far as tread design idk, i wasnt arguing that point. This is a dumb vid tho. two equal size trucks in the mud. neither would win if they did it 50 times
benchn280 3 years ago
smaller tires would give you horrible traction. try this, take a pencil (or pen) that's round, not a hexagon, and put your hand on it, then try to push it across the table without letting it roll. then take a CD or something taller and thinner with about the same stickiness (plastic, wood, you know). the CD is much harder to push across the table without rolling. it's because the cd actually bends on the bottom to become flat, same as the tires. microscopic with the cd though.
supersnot4 3 years ago
What the fuck are you talking about?
The diameter of the tires makes no difference in terms of traction, it's the width of the tire that matters.
Tboninator 3 years ago
are you kidding? did you not just read my comment? did you actually try it? tires are flat on the bottom when there is a load on them, such as a car. so if you have a taller tire it will have more surface area on the ground. it's the same as having a flat tire, just not nearly as bad. you notice how the earth is round, but it seems flat? it's the same way with a tire. width does help, but taller you get the same result. that's why monster trucks, tractors, and dragsters have taller tires.
supersnot4 3 years ago
Now I know you're crazy. You're talking about the fact that tires, under load, will flatten out, increasing the contact patch, however, that depends on tire pressure, load weight, and the stiffness of the sidewall, and even then, there are 10.5" wide tires, that even with low pressure, the contact patch cannot be wider than a 13.5" tire at full pressure, unless you're running beadlocks, otherwise you would lose the bead or your tires are flat.
Tboninator 2 years ago
The reason dragsters run taller tires is so that when they run low tire pressure, the get what's called tire wrinkle, and that gives you and elastic effect which helps in propelling the car forward. The reason monster trucks and tractors have tall tires is for ground clearance.
Tboninator 2 years ago
ok, it's pointless to talk to you, but i will anyway. IT HELPS! i see you play games and fix computers for a living, nice experience!
supersnot4 2 years ago
Only Radials flatten out at the bottom. The pencil/cd thing is RETARDED. Why? because the plastic/wood and silicone they're made out of DO NOT FLEX AND DEFORM LIKE RUBBER.
I have a 1978 GMC K15 lifted 6" on 35" BFG All Terrains, and I go wheeling in it a LOT, and before this, I had a 1994 Jeep Cherokee 2 door with a 5 speed manual lifted 3.5" on 32" M/T Baja Claws, and yes, I wheeled that, too.
Tboninator 2 years ago
I have more than enough experience AND common sense, as well as the intelligence to tell you that you're RIGHT, but only to a POINT. You have the dragster bit all WRONG, as well as the tractor bit. The diameter has MUCH LESS to do with traction than the WIDTH. Diameter affects the contact patch MINIMALLY and increases the amount of torque required to turn them, the width of a tire SOLELY affects the contact patch. Smaller tires mean more torque gets to the ground, wider tires means more traction
Tboninator 2 years ago
ok, HAVE YOU TRIED THE PENCIL THING? it's the only way i can show you without you being right here next to me. width does have to do with traction, but not as much as diameter. EVERYTHING, even steel, deforms with pressure. which is why the cd and pen will work. and i have every doubt in my mind that you have anything other than a prius, or even that. show me your GMC and Jeep, all i see is scissor man and xbox 360 facts. that doesn't say much about tires.
supersnot4 2 years ago
A tire's contact patch is fairly rectangular in shape (kind of an oval) and the longer sides are due to width. Even then, your "pencil and CD" trick is very inaccurate, and even if there was anything to prove with it, it wouldn't be noticeable.
Send me a private message with your email. I'll send you pictures of both my Jeep (don't own anymore) and my GMC. I don't know why, but I'll prove it to you, because apparently you don't like to be wrong.
Tboninator 2 years ago
it's not even worth it, because i can easily google a picture of a jeep and a GMC with the same things as the ones you claim you have. now if you make a video, then ok, you have a jeep and a GMC. that still doesn't prove anything about what you're saying. all i can tell you is pretty much what i've already told you. if you don't believe me then it's your loss, go and use your short fat tires. i'll keep using taller ones. we are both right, they both help, but a taller tire helps better.
supersnot4 2 years ago
I have pictures of both from my driveway. I had a video up on YouTube of my truck. I'll put it up again if you would like.
Taller tires do help with traction, TO AN EXTENT, I have not denied that, but that extent is MINIMAL. The traction difference between 33x11.50" tires and 35x11.50" tires is going to be minimal, if there is any advantage at all. However, the 33" tires would have an advantage in torque, yet if the 35" tires were 12.50 wide, it would have a traction advantage.
Tboninator 2 years ago
hmm, it seems we're at a little standstill here. i have to stand my ground though, because i can easily have more traction with taller tires than wider tires. if you want torque, yes shorter tires would give you an advantage. however, shorter tires don't have the traction you need to pull someone out of a ditch. now if you have taller tires, they would, but you would need to simply lower your gears. now a taller AND wider tire will obviously have more traction. so i guess we're both right.
supersnot4 2 years ago
I don't see how you're not understanding this... The diameter of the tire affects the contact patch (what gives you traction) in a very, very minimal way, at least when you're comparing tire sizes like 32", 33", and 35", etc, where the tire size is fairly close like whats in the video. Being wider would make far more difference than being taller.
Tboninator 2 years ago
maybe i should have worded it better before. tires are hollow rubber tubes. why is this? so they can flex on the bottom. a taller tire will have more flexing on the bottom than a wider tire. not to mention that you have much more of a limit to how wide your tire can get than how tall it can get. put it this way. have one tire. now if you have one twice as tall, it has more traction than one twice as wide. it's just that simple.
supersnot4 2 years ago
If it's inflated properly, not so much. If it's at half pressure for, say, trails and rock crawling, then that's where it would really make a difference, but at proper inflation, that's not so true.
Tboninator 2 years ago
at proper inflation, it's even more true. proper inflation isn't filled up to the max. it's filled up so that the tire is flat on the ground, and not just touching on the middle. so, at proper inflation, it helps both just the same. so, at proper inflation, a taller tire still wins.
supersnot4 2 years ago
You know what, no. I'm done arguing with you, you're not getting it. There is hardly any difference at all between the two sizes on the vehicles shown in this video. I've already told you, you're right, to an extent, but the height doesn't affect traction as much as the width does.
Tboninator 2 years ago
lol ok then, and like i have said many times before, the height of the tire affects traction more then the width. but ok you're done so screw it.
supersnot4 2 years ago
Go look it up, or better yet, ask any experienced offroad driver. Guaranteed you'll get the same answer. Larger tires are almost solely for looks and ground clearance.
Last post.
Tboninator 2 years ago
um, i am an experienced off road driver. and i will keep posting until you prove me wrong.
supersnot4 2 years ago
LOL going 1in taller in a tire will not put 1 more inch of tire on the ground but going 1in wider will if they are both the same height if u took a 33in by 12in tire vs 32in by 13in the 32x13 will have more rubber touching the ground
hobanm45 2 years ago
actually 1 inch taller on a tire will put 1 more inch on the ground, maybe more depending on the tire. and you also have to think about just how wide you can get a tire. you can get a much taller tire than you can get wide. now if you want to go for the most traction, like a drag race, you should obviously get a taller and wider tire.
supersnot4 2 years ago
it will put half an inch more on the ground
chobee12 2 years ago
actually going taller does put a little bit more tire on the ground but not near as much as going wider
chobee12 2 years ago
you see it also has to do with just how tall the tire is. now if you have a tire say 2 feet tall, going wider will put less on the ground than if you have a tire 4 feet tall. and either way you still get less, unless you have a solid rubber tire.
supersnot4 2 years ago
I hope you two give this much attention to the ladies

I don't know how else to tell you, but you might want to take a listen to what others are saying, and think through what YOU are saying- you might just learn something.
Tboninator 2 years ago
Tboninator 3 years ago
how in any way would smaller tires given him an advantage?
