hideo said they had to compress the game into a dual-layer blu-ray format (which is massive) and for what... from what i understand it has the 3rd best graphics on the ps3 that i've seen (far-cry2 being second and killzone2 being first) and a lot more cutscene footage than actual gameplay. so if this is what they could achieve by optimising the usage of the blu-ray format then how does killzone2 have 3 times better graphics and a lot of realistic gameplay? surely they've wasted potential here

After finnishing the game I still didn't get what made those guys go crazy! Naomi said something about that it suppressed the nanomachines in their bodies. But then why does the effects wear off when snake uses the syringe? Naomi said that the syringe also supressed the nanomachines. some1 please help me out!

think about it this way, the nanomachines basically control most of the soldiers brain functions which allow them to work together more efficiently etc. the thing that made them crazy actually made the nanomachines crazy by suppressing them, a direct effect on the soldiers brain.

but the syringe snake uses removes the nanomachines control over the brain entirely

The game is not that big. if he make less good grafics then the game fit on a dvd. I think that if he have the grafics of the ps1 the game wod fit on a ds... errrr almost.

Blu ray is about 80gb or something alike. The saved games could go up to 1gb (i think, not sure) dvd is 4.7gb its a big difference, and to go back to dvd, it might wreck the game

I think there are 2 types. Normal 25gb and double which is 50gb. The xbox360 doesnt has the same capacity in its dvd format. Hideo said that the 50gb from blu ray werent enough even, so he had to compress some stuff. I really dont think it would fit the xbox.

The same doesnt happens with the new metal gear rising thats gonna come out for ps3/pc and xbox360.
