I reject any translation of the bible which discredits either the resurrection of Jesus in Mark 16, or the lesson of the woman caught in adultery in John 8. If those things aren't part of the scriptures then, IMO, there really is very little point to the rest of it. While it's not the most readable translation I recommend using the YLT, or at least double-checking with on anything important because it is the most accurate.
I gave up on NIV due to the fact that it was discovered to have omitted 17 verses. I went back to KJV but I ordered a study ESV bible to have them both together when I read.

@mrmark262 1 John 5:7 was added to the KJV when it was originally translated. It does not appear in any of the oldest and best Mss. This is why it was removed from the NASB and the ESV. Since it was not part of the original writings it should never have been added in the first place.

The King James Version is not the Messiah. The KJV is just another English bible translation, just like its predecessors and successors. Brooke Westcott and Fenton Hort were preeminent scholars of their generation, and they never abandoned the Christian faith. Your claim that they "have been burning in hell" is absurd.

Any translation that chops up John 3:16 and drops "only begotten" from their translation is a false witness.

maybe you would enjoy reading Dr James White´s book " The King James Only Controversy " -
things are not as dramatic as they may seem sometimes...
but I think we share a concern for the accuracy of the translations.

The whole Muslum world is just pleased with the new bible translations...for the simple reasons of John 3:16, and also 1st John 5:7. James White has lied to the church about the truth of the word of God. James White's final authority is a phantom bible ((( phantom original ))) that is a ghost rider that is not around anymore!!! @mrmark262 1 John 5:7 was added to the KJV when it was originally translated. It does not appear in any of the oldest and best Mss. This is why it was removed from the NASB and the ESV. Since it was not part of the original writings it should never have been added in the first place.

The way some advertise the latest ESV (Study) Bibles, you would think Jesus were coming back or something. Indeed, it is all too easy to forget the entire point of the Word IS to keep us pointed to and ready for the arrival of our First Love! I am not anti-ESV, I just don’t appreciate feeling like I’m being sucked in by some calculated marketing ploy, which unfortunately is how a lot of the Reformed leaders tend to run their ministries (via constant new book releases, mega-conferences, etc…)

@asher102 Please be advised that these new modern translations destroy the message of the bible and mislead millions of people....the Muslum world loves the fact that modern translations removed the word begotten from John 3:16....and 1st John 5:7 is taken out of modern bibles...and where is Act 8:37??? It's not in modern bibles....only in the timely honored and God blessed king james bible are the doctrines of the faith kept in tact.
