I was in Ghana. Please support state run orphanages and school. Children need to be returned to their families, be adopted or placed in good foster care. Please research these issues and what is best for children.
Thank you for watching it. Several have seen the video, but more need to. Ask your friends to view it and ask them to help too. If not for the children at the Village of Hope then the children around their own home or your own home.
This is real. Believe them. My daughter just got back from a 5 month stay, studying at the University of Ghana. She also volunteered at the Liberian refugee camp.
I am forming a non-profit organization with someone there, to raise scholarship money for these children. If they are not sponsored, or do not have tuition money, they have to go home when the exams are taken, and they cannot be promoted.
This is a beautiful video, JosiahB3. Thanks for posting it.
And JUS09TO, I was on this Oprah special with my mother, have been to Ghana and the Village of Hope multiple times, and it is totally true. The world is hurting and needs our help.
Yes, every mother, every father, every government should take care of their own ones, but when they don't, we should most definitly take responsibility and act - the ones who care.
The most egosentric person would always say: it is not my responsibility, I have nothing to do with it. And I sure agree - if it only has an impact on the one who is directly responsible. But when it influences children of the responsible, citizens of the weak government - everyone's got responsibility.
I Just Came Back from Ghana In July And I Saw a Homeless Child Walking Around Needing Help. She Looked All Over The Landill To Find Food. It's True. In Sekondi Ghana, Where My Family Lives. I Felt Sooo Bad For Her. She Needed Help. I've Seen Over 6 Homeless People Who Sleep On The Floor And Nobody Cares. Black People. . .Mainly Africans Are Poor Or Dieing Than Other People In The World. But You Guys Don't See It.
I might add, we were mentioned on the Oprah show when she talked about slave children in Ghana. The particular child she talked about was taken out of slavery and now lives at the Village of Hope. She sent her crew there to find out about us and they reported back and it was shown on TV. We are real.
We also need to create a conducive business and investment environment for both local and international investors. Then may be we will see less starving children on the continent.
. For those of you who dont know Africa well, Ghana was the first country in colonial African country to be independent. They are a little bit older than the Asian "tigers" of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore amd Thailand. Africans are the only ones to blame for their problems. Its time we stopped looking for excuses and getting out problems solved.Runaway corruption being the biggest African challenge today.
Man Its high time africa got take care of its own problems. Lets face it am an African too but i know that alot of other countries have problems. But you never see them broadcasting their hungry children.
This was not posted by a Ghanaian or and African for that matter. It was 0posted by someone who loves Ghana and sees the needs. America has great blessings and have been given them so that they might share them with others. Since you are an African one of the best things you can do is give something to help your people! In semi-arid South Africa 'white' farmers represent only 0.01% of the entire population yet produce all of the country's food on less than 6% of the country's surface area. This 40,000 strong group of hardy professionals managed to also feed most of southern Africa until just three years ago but are now being chased off by their government. that's why there's more and more famine in the rest of southern Africa.
Yes, but they are all real. They were meant to shock and show that there are many children who are struggling and suffering and in desperate need of help.
