What an under appreciated instrument that is making difficult music with incredible precision. I am blessed by hearing someone managing the technical difficulties of both song and instrument. God bless you dear sir,
@7nevyn7 yeah Ben is good but its a completely different style than this and this one takes way more skill... I'll bet this guy can be bluesy too but the accuracy of his notes combined with the speed is just unreal...
Im a person of Urban music, dubstep, grime, techno so on.. but this.. is just brilliant. I'm going out and buying a harmonica now. It would be so sick to play.
@whmozart ...jetzt quatsch halt kein Mist !
i can play the harmonica so when i was watching this, my first reaction was "ehhh nothing special... -.- " but then it got crazy and my reaction turned to "Holy shit! :O "
Unbelieveable, just unbelieveable - Buddy is certainly in a class by himself. There's a lot of great harp players, but he's one the top five anywhere. And playing classical songs on a diatonic harp to a formal crowd is about as tough as you can get - who else can touch that!
lol too bad Carnegie Hall isn't in Texas, there would have been massive volleys of six shooters going off in ovation to that man's brilliant playing. He's a true son of the South.
You can't even effectively compare the two if all you have to go on is this video and Popper's Blues Traveler albums and live shows. Two totally different experiences.
I play some harmonica, and that stuff near the end is about as difficult as you'll ever have to try on a harmonica. I know he had to work long and hard on that.
I have played harmonica for years and i can say this took a lot of work and hours of practice

what style of harmonica is that? like the kind... chromatic diatonic etc.
boyplays24 1 year ago
@boyplays24 10 hole diatonic. Chromatics are bigger and generally the player can't cover it entirely with his hands.
