Hi was just wondering if I used a primer would it make my skin less shiny.. I got this recently and although I love the coverage.. I find at the end of the day my face is quite shiny I have combination skin with an oily tzone i cant afford to buy a new foundation for a wile so any tips on how i could adjust it for my skin type thanks x x

Hi I love pro lumiere for winter and vitalumiere in summer in the same shades as your self it lasts ages as only use one pump so i personally dont think its tootoo dear as v lil waste with it i apply it wit my hands as i just the habit of doing that.Thanks for the review its good to hear someone give their honest option when talking bout higher end products as not always as good as marketing suggests

@ctriju Vitalumiere is greasier than Pro, and the Mat does not last and highlights everything you don't want it to. Teint innocence is pretty much the same as the Mat (plus the two don't smell as yummy as the Pro and Vita...)

@animeloverforeverxxx If you were standing on front of me this foundation doesn't change my skin at all before & after. With a good foundation you shouldn't be able to see it. It sort of evens out my skintone whilst still looking like my own skin. I assume that's why it's so expensive x

I had Pro Lumiere, it was actually my first high-end foundation. First I hated it, but then I decided to put Guerlain Meteorites illuminating powder in beige lumineux on it and oh my... my skin looked perfect. It's really pricey thou, so I don't think I'm going to repurchase it, because I need meteorites with it and the price will add up to 100 euro which is too much.

The Pro Lumiere of the CHANEL line is the heaviest and has the most coverage. So try the Vita (?) lumiere or the other one. I don't remember what its called.

ur review is spot on!! I knew the pixiwoo girls loved it so i thought i'd try it BUT..It really does highlight pores, i have consistant breakouts so it shows even more..! i love the feel of it an i think its very blendable but as i have oily skin this just melted off me, an i'd say 2 hrs later it was mostly gone! If i had perfect skin this would be lovely, but not for me :( x

I actually found this fdn and the Matte one too as too cakey.  I agree with you that I found it quite 'un'seamless....it didn't blend into my skin that well at all and thought it definitely sat on top of my skin. Glad I only tried samples. But I definitely feel that there are better fdns out there for the same, or cheaper price.

Hiii i have this foundation and i have combination/oily skin and at first i liked it, then i hated it, then as soon as i was running out i fell in love with it! I definitely need a powder over it though. It looks amazing on you though from what I can see here! Have you tried Nars Sheer Glow?? Whats better? Im using Givenchy Photo Perfection at the moment and thats great for a slight glow but it wont highlight pores and make you look to shiny :) xxx

I tried Chanel ProLumiere foundation after seeing Pixiwoo recommend it again and again. I was dubious after seeing the price, but I had heard such great things so I decided to give it a shot... I HATE it... on my skin it goes on streaky and is really hard to blend. After I finally get it somewhat blended, it sits in my pores (to note I don't have huge pores or anything) and really just looks a shambles. Even with a primer it wasn't great and certainly not worth the high price tag in my opinion.

When I first got this I really struggled to get it looking good, it sank into my pores and fine lines and looked awful, plus it slid off my face after about 1 hour. I tried primers, sponge, fingers and then gave up and gave it to my Mum! She hated it and returned it! Now I've changed my skincare it's much better and I don't have the 'pore' issue, but it's almost too dewy for me. I'll finish it, but not my favourite and v expensive - glad I'm not the only one who struggled with it
