When they ported the MS version, why did they change the password to the same as Four Square, instead of leaving it the same as the Lynx version?

It might have been a mistake. Since usually something like this doesn't happen by typing incorrectly, the programmers might have accidentally placed BIFQ into the password field for Paranoia instead.

Since the code for this game is probably long, it might have escaped scrutiny when the code for Four Square's password was entered in. If it was like an entpack, it would be easy to spot if a score was put on the wrong level.
