at about 45-55 u speed up and lose the rhythm, not bad but remember to keep it clean 24/7, speed it up gradually, also, your doubles almost have a swing to them when you speed up; not good for a paradiddle, my teacher and i worked hard on this for a total of 7 weeks, what did we do?
15 out of the 30min. lesson we used a metronome and followed it consistently doing paradiddles, starting at 80 bpm, the next week we'd go to 90, and so on, right now i stay clean at 140bpm, i suggest you start at 100
Just checked out your video, I've been working hard recently on the same thing. Try applying the 'moeller' technique. I noticed your stroke is only coming from your wrists down. Check out videos on here about moeller and other studies to build up speed. Good luck
its the immediate transition from double stroke to single stroke. your max paradiddle speed, if done correctly, should be about the same speed as your double strokes.
well im starting in band now like im acutally learning real things my middle school was all b.s but i knew most of the shit um the way to build up the speed use differnt notes like 32nd notes 16th note 8ths notes theres this really good one on snare science its called paradiddle speed oh n use a met n chop the crap outa ur left hand

Just continuing my comment:
start at about 100, for i'd say 5-15 minutes a day, and in a month or so you'll be at a great speed :) Good luck, and keep drumming.

great job! I wanna know the same thing. I feel like I've been doing this for years and I'm at about the same speed as you.
Anyone have any tips or do we just keep practicing?
