Yes it should just update but if you want to get rid of this prerealse version just go to add/remove programs it should be in there.

I installed SP3 on my professional computer and had a bunch of problems, specifically that I couldn't connect to the internet anymore, with all the latest drivers and everything, so I uninstalled it and have been happy with sp2

A service pack is a free large update to windows OS....and Vista SP1 is currently out on windows update.

How can you get an ealy release of XP SP3 or Vista SP1, when they are both still in Beta, and Microsoft is counting on the community to give feedback to help them MAKE the final release.

I don't quite understand your questions but windows sp3 is for xp users only and vista sp1 is for Vista users only.

Well...you will need Vista first...and once Vista sp1 officially comes out it will automatically download. *this is not official and not the latest version of sp1.

Nope just a update *this is beta not full version* but i havent had any problems with it. Its not that big if you were to do this or not.

SP3 RC1 has been released. 10% Performance boost... Microsoft has said it's not going to be significant. So, dude, won't be 2-3x better lol, that's just crazy. It's a service pack, not a whole new OS. Plus, those are probably unofficial versions made by people other than MS, if it was MS material it'd be illegal.

O it is from Microsoft you download fromt here servers through windows update, you trick there servers in thinking that you are a beta tester.

Vista and XP are the same better Operatng System, it depends on your processor, if you want vista, try a processor which is higher than P4, XP is good for P3 only! Thats it...

Really i havent found much that they have fixed..for me vista has worked pretty well and i have no complaints about vista but the Service pack beta i havent seen much new/better out of it

MS made it clear that the changes will be towards security and performance as well as stability.. I am currently testing the RC build of SP1 and it significantly improved on speeds :D
