  • Who did he fight

  • @Samantha2465029 Look to the right its in the suggested videos "Ricky Gervais The Fight 2002 part 1"

  • I get knocked down XD brilliant lol

  • Wheatley!

  • more like "ricky gervais" gets owned..

  • Karl Pilkington doesn't write comedy...he is comedy.

  • I think this is the only link on the xfm show where Ricky got killed rather than Karl or Steve!

  • Did Gervais win?

  • @pennydesouza Yup!

  • @pennydesouza He did technically, but in reality.....no way.

  • @pennydesouza yes you can watch online

  • jimmyshitbags is a moron "most lightly" what a penis

  • lol "no! i like boxing"

  • penis!

  • The thing is since they use boxing gloves the deaths caused by boxing increased immensely. Because it does not hurt the hand, but you can still cause damage on the head. Before there where virtually no death caused by boxing. Broken bones in hands and faces, yes, but not deaths.

  • @blenderpanzi so why are gloves still used then? just for the illusion/perception of safety?

  • @jimmyshitbags I don't know. Got that from some documentary I think.

  • @blenderpanzi Maybe you saw it on QI? That's where I saw it.

  • @FreedomFighterUK Indeed very likely.

  • @blenderpanzi Same thing with American Football and helmets. I heard it from Freakonomics, if you haven't read the books, they are extremely interesting.

  • @jimmyshitbags Goolge for 'boxing gloves deaths'. You'll find information on the issue.

  • @jimmyshitbags actually that is true. they were introduced as a preventive measure, but instead enabled boxers to punch much harder without damaging their hands. you see, i used to box as a kid - and i can tell you if i hit someone full force without gloves, my hands would be in shreds. but with gloves it is not so much a problem. lenny mclean was a big voice in stopping the use of gloves.

  • @drew2pac hmm interesting. so you think bare knuckle boxing should make a come back then? I'd like to see that, it seems more entertaining somehow.

  • @jimmyshitbags well, the fights wouldn't last that long, so each side has its good and bad points. but from a safety point of view, bare knuckle is much safer. actually there are stats to support that too. bare knuckle is more bloody with broken bones, but the wounds are less serious. whereas with gloves it can be internal brain damage etc. sooooo....... lol.

  • @drew2pac i bet he owns a tapout shirt

  • @jimmyshitbags most lightly because most of the general public dont like to watch two guys punch eachother in the face bareknuckle and have blood running down eachothers faces... even if it is safer all of the mothers unions and idiots like that would say it encourages violence... just like they did with Vale Tudo which was bareknuckle MMA.

  • @blenderpanzi

Nah man the old style bare knuckle boxing matches were way more vicious, any number of horrific injuries you could get from them, people going blind, broken necks, shattered wrists, punctured lungs, collapsed trachea etc.

  • what was this taken from ?

  • @lewishawkes from XFM series 2 episode 10 (26 October 2002)

  • @lewishawkes 26/10/02 XFM Series 2

  • Steve: "You have no chance!"... match results? Ricky won at the points, he actually overwhelmed the opponent... and the other guy was actually fit.
