A blood elf is defined as a high elf that has been tainted by their thirst of magic. They changed to blood elves because without the Sunwell, they didn't have the magic to quench their thirst. So they turn to demons and name themselves blood elves. Sylvanus doesn't have the thirst for magic, therefore doesn't quench it with demons. She CAN'T be a blood elf.

He did that same thing in alot of places. As the scourge grew and Arthas's grip weakened, Sylvanas tried to kill him. Arthas managed to escape but he severed Sylvana's soul from her body. So now she is the Banshee Queen and leader of The Forsaken.
