Paxil is a bad anti-depressant's. I was on it for 6 yrs. and in the comecials they said that Paxil was no habbit forming. and that was a lie. because I went through horriable with-drawls.

I just got off the stuff after only 2 days. Prescribed to stop the occasional panic attack that I have (one every week or two) and i ended up in 20 solid hours of freaking out: tremors, hallucination-like dreams, being startled by the slightest noises. Horrible, horrible experience.

Anyone whose counselor/doctor is pushing them to take this (like mine did - it was the first thing they recommended) BEWARE.

I couldn't imagine having to come down off this stuff after years of use...

paxil,prozac and many other drugs contain fluorine,which is toxic.These drugs should not be taken.Read the alarming history of fluorine(fluoride)and throw your anti-depressants away.

dam all them side Fx..id much rather just take a xanax and feel great...but i just got put on Paxil and Vistaril instead so will see what happens...anybody get better on Paxil?

@N1ck1Sk123 It stopped the panic but i quit it 2 weeks ago. My doctor even said i had been on it long enough and it is NOT meant for indefinite use. ( aiming this at hinesriley up there^) . RUN do not walk, to the nearest toilet and flush that Xanax! I took it and it made me crazy. I was going on autopilot all the time and nearly ran my car under a truck. No i was not feeling doped but wide awake. Just not functioning properly. Klonopin and Valium are much safer. Xanax has horrid withdrawals too

Ya I sure notice the countless issue ppl have because of paxil and prozac type drugs yet not one doctor will be responsible for the damages it does to ppl lives . Not one bit whatsoever! perscribing it yet they Do knowing Fully the consequences yet did it anyway... Doctors who perscribe it are well aware the damages it does to the human body yet for Money they get for doing it is their only concern.

I've started watching the vids on paxil cuz i really want to quit it. i've been on it only for a year, together with psychotherapy and other 3 types of medicine. yet, if depression is sth with serotonin which is in paxil i start wondering what may happen when i quit. not even thinking about withdrawal i've already experienced once. hell hell hell

Psychiatrists job is not to council, their job is to make sure that you're on suitable medication for your conditions and symptoms.... If u want someone in your head ask your psychiatrist to suggest a councilor.

Hell, It has been nearly five years since I popped my first pill of Paxil, and even though I probably healed as much as possible, my life has never been the same as it was before I started drug therapy. My advice to everyone entering a psychiatrist's office: Make sure they check for every possible physical cause of your symptoms; and though this may seem simplistic: eat a better diet and get plenty of exercise and rest.

I went through a terrible withdrawal phase after I abruptly stopped taking this drug about five years ago. I only expected the usual flu-like symptoms and some mild discomfort that the doctors admitted to but didn't expect over two years of A-Z withdrawal symptoms. It took my brain nearly three years to adjust not taking this drug and the other SSRIs I was on before Paxil.

When I tried to get off Paxil they said it wasn't addictive but I would experience "flu like symptoms"... WELL. Paxil is adictive and you can have vicious horrible hidious withdrawls from it that will last a long time.

I tried to commit suicide several times on paxil, i felt my life was useless and all. I had several panic atacks, i had the eletric shocks on my whole body most of the time. It was like hell. i decided to quit cold turkey and it was hard at first because my body was craving it so bad so, i came back with it again and it got worst so, i said enough is enough,i quit cold turkey again and find a different path (meditation) It worked, so, i meditate everyday for an hour. It works for me.

Staraction, I'm very empathetic to you. I am glad you meditate and I hope things are working out for you. Life can be very hard at times when all we really need is love. It's even harder when people don't actually give us sound advice about life. Medications can often be prescribed willy nilly without any real counceling. You might also want to try Hypnosis but beware I think that 2 out of 3 hypnotists out there are not very good. Also, hold true to your soul look inward to what drives you most.

It has been 2 years and i rarely get a panic attacks. I no longer have thought of killing myself like when i was on paxil, I feel great, i exercise regularly, i hang out with friends and family and i am way much happier now than when i was on meds, i felt like a zombie and i was always quiet (lots of thoughts in my head going at once) now, i don't have those anymore. i was being told i was useless, i was wasting air and all that negative stuff, i am glad that the only voice is my own in my head

Hello, my name is Randy. I am addicted to Paxil. My doctor told me that I am going to experience severe withdraw symptoms, if I don't take my Paxil every morning. He lowered my dose and I didn't really see much of a difference until later. I always get brain zaps whenever I am off of it for a day. My legs tingle, and crawl at night. I've been on it for about two years now, I wonder when I am going to get off of it.

Paxil and other such drugs are more dangerous than the symptoms they're supposed to treat.

I too just got off Paxil almost 2 weeks ago. I have been on Paxil since I was 17, almost 12 years ago. Hell began about 2 to 3 days ago. I have been in my house for the past 2 days experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms. I hope I can go to work on Tuesday.

My life completely changed because of dedicated researchers. After 1 year I decided to go to therapy until I was able to stop the Paxil. Stop blaming other people for your own problems and take actions.

Are you saying that I should blame my 15 year old self for taking paxil? I disagree. Children and young teens are too young to be able to assess the long term consequences of voluntarally becoming addicted to a prescription drug. There was research discouraging the prescription of this drug to young people before I started taking it. The doctors should have known better, and the industry shouldn't have lied about it.

@paxildiaries God bless you. No one should ever put a kid on paxil or anything else that effects the brain. Your brain doesnt stop developing until you are in your early 20s. What could it do to a developing brain ? Makes you wonder. People think doctors are God. They have killed more people by giving the wrong mixture of drugs than anyone will ever know. People trust doctors too much. They can help sure. But never put blind faith in a human.

Like with every thing else, may it be(alcohol,cigarettes,medicati­ons), be responsible for yourself and stop blaming the Pharma industry. We all react differently to medications and have to decide for ourselves whether they are good for us. I used to have social anxiety for many years until I started Paxil.

Because I was tired of the side effects and wanted to be myself again. And if I ever get pregnant, it would make the baby twice as likely to have brain defects. I think I address this issue somewhere or another, maybe you should listen better.

MD's can be corrupted by drug companies, although they know a lot, it's all generalized and it's unlikely they have specialized in this issue, while I can read a lot and make a decision which I feel is best for myself.

I am not inclined to spend hours of looking at your vids to get an answer. My life is exciting. "MD's can be corrupted"... your statement... What conspiracy-sites have you been reading (As you ARE apparently reading in this video)?

You simply sound and look depressed in general... have you consulted other MD's?

There are not hours of my videos. There are under 8 minutes. There are many anti-paxil websites. I did type out what I wanted to say in my videos before I recorded them. Otherwise I would have been all over the place, and my videos would be too long to upload, since I have limited video editing software. Everything else has been addressed in my less than 8 minutes of video.

@hinesriley Doctors are not God. They are not sure exactly how these drugs work. And the list of problems they cause should scare anyone. Even my doctor told me it was time to quit because they are not meant to be taken endlessly! He said they do not know what the long term effects are! Is that enough reason? I am dealing with withdrawal but i am determined. Klonopin seems to help some on the withdrawal. thank you paxildiaries for doing this. I may do one too.

At one point I was on 60mg of Paxil and 300mg of Wellbutrin a day. One shrink wanted to add a THIRD drug to the mix, as if I wasn't messed up enough...

I've pretty much run out of shrinks to go to. All of them have one form of treatment, medication. I turned my back to conventional "medicine".

I'm now drug free and just as miserable as always.
