u dont learn from ur mistakes mate... u sent soldiers cause the brits told u too now ur sending them cause the u.s telling u 2, stop this shit teach them to fight alone
@nsewnsew1 This is the greatest Australian film of all time, which recognised our role in Gallipolii, and our troops were send to the front line to distract from your british 'contribution', and sacrificed their lives for britain. Shame on you.
Those Hero's that shed there blood and lost their lives, you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country therefore rest in peace. There is no diffrence between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours you the mothers who sent their sons from far away lands, wipe your tears, your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace after having lost their lives they have become our sons, the sons of Turks aswell.
The young actor who worked with Mel Gibson in the movie suffered brain damage in a horrible car accident, anybody remember his name? I am not sure he is even still alive, I remember it happened shortly after the award show..Great movie though
the blond bloke in gallipoli was called mark lee, but your thinking of jon blake, he was in the mini series the anzac and in the light horse men he was the who gone severe brain damage in the car accident, he is still alive, but he is a vegetable he got the largest compo payout in australian history for lost earnings, its pay for his medical expenses
Thanks for that, I had indeed got the two mixed up, I lived in Australia from 90-97 and heard of the actor from a war movie that had a trajic accident, and was brain damaged ending a promising acting career, thanks
son sahne çok dokunaklı. bizim mehmetçiklerimiz de aynı şekilde şehit oldu çanakkale'de. tek dileğim keşke savaş diye bir şey olmasaydı....keşke...PEACE FOREVER...
RIP Billy Hunter

The guy wearing the dark glasses at the podium is Mike Preston ("Pappagallo" from The Road Warrior)

The young actor who played Archy Hamilton was Mark Lee and according to the imdb he is still alive as he was in many productions until 2007.
