  • perfect

  • @peerman2006 great job.

  • @peerman...I can't believe I signed on to you tube to read your dumb comment...don't comment to me unless you have something good to say...btw..I wasn't talking to you anyhow!

  • something about this song puts me in another realm. Or dimension. Or universe.

  • I love all Zeppelin tunes...regarding the dislike issue....on another video, I went to turn up the volume and accidentally clicked the dislike button...maybe the dislikes came from someone wanting to crank up the volume and missed like me ?! Agreed...if you don't like a song, just leave...why "dislike" it.....rock and roll forever...the good old stuff !! :-)

  • I took a dump too

  • I have to give this one out to my common-law-wife, Bessie, who epitomizes "Roving". Meaning that she has traveled to the 7 wonders and all of that ; ) Oh, and and Jimmy's solo is effing mind-blowing...and under-appreciated.

  • I'm 14 and I fucking love this album. Woooo.

  • @Robeban2 I'm 41 and I just took a dump.

  • You don't know how bad I wish that I grew up in a different generation.

  • I love it and if you don't....I simply don't care!!!!!

  • @jenkelly72 Then why did you bother to post this comment?

  • The Rover was actually written for a good friend of mine who did in fact meet Jimmy Page in person. His name: TIM HALCOMB :-)

  • @hhjjdjkdku

Hey everyone! click this person's sn. It must not a sane person. From my analysis, I'd say a homosexual hermaphrodite who is narcissistic and yet very insecure and definitely probably the victim of being raped by his gay dad!

  • One of the best performing one of the best...

  • You got me ROCKING when I ought to be ROLLING!!!! YEAH!!!!

  • Let's hear it for the mighty Zep!!!!!

  • another good deep cut from PHYSICAL GRAFFITI, their best album PERIOD

  • 1 of the records/bands that defined my pre-puberty alot // robert plant was my hero & still = on guitar [&some more] kashmir the song of the album but hé almost every song = big

  • Oh my god, this is so beautiful

  • For the longest time I never liked Zepplin. The usual radio songs that were constantly played just made me cringe with instant dislike...then the advent of satellite radio, internet, Youtube etc helped change that somewhat. I never doubtedm their talent, but songs like this, Carouselambra, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp just are fantastic....

  • @jakeelee904 Just listen to the bass in the fade-out [ after the whole song of course ] I had an epiphany with this just recently and I first started playing this song when it was released ! !! The slow groove with John Bonham is really nothing short of genius the way he plays the octave Es in perfect groove with the drum beat is simply phenomenal !!! Give it a 2nd listen !!! It's good to lisetn to tis with a pair of high-end headphones too btw !

  • Another reason why I identify with Zeppelin. They compose music for the spritual being. Zeppelin roots sprout from juvenile lust through lifetime seeking maturity and spirtual love. Other bands spoke about culture and politics, Zeppelin spoke to peoples heart and soul about love finding meaning in your life.

  • That's 21 years since I left home and bought Led Zeppelin's debut. This time of year always reminds me of that album now.

  • it won't get out of my head!!! i love it but it's been stuck for weeks!

  • led zeppelin are my favourite band of all time

  • If it ain't a black guy rappin' about screwin' white girls its not worth listening too...that's how the new gen looks at it...

  • what a great song from a great album!!

  • That riff is indescribable.

  • How could 38 people dislike this song thats fuckin crazy must be the new generation dislike this or something because the new generation makes the shittiest music ever.

  • @TheMicstur Hey, whoa, whoa, don't group me with those mongoloids.

  • @AkatsukiPR0

    hhaha, me too

  • @TheMicstur I think this "new generation" you´re talking about its not really the new one, the real NEW generation maybe will surprise to more than one. Great song thought

  • @TheMicstur im from the new generation and i completley agree with you. i grew up listening to this and i will always listen to it!

  • @thedrunkenwookie I think he / she was reffering to the new-gen musicians, not the listeners. Still, i agree with him / her.

  • @TheMicstur I fucken agree totally with what you say im 34 and i grew up with this music favorite band of all time the greatest songs have been written already.

  • Probably the most underapreciated solo ever.

  • 37 dislikes to 3,197 likes? what a tiny clique of bozo's! sometimes talent and coolness is simply 'above' some folks heads!

  • @youdave777 The whole"likes and dislike" thing is unimportant. Obviously there will be more likes that dislikes because people watch videos that they want to watch. Why would anybody bother to click dislike instead of just clicking on a different video. It seems pointless to me.

  • I'm soooo going to learn of to play this riff!

  • that riff is just irresistible

  • How can a guy dislike it ?

  • One of the first albums i owned on tape at the age of 7.... will never forget my dad sorting me out with that tape... epic memories :D

  • I can't help but sing along with Page's playing.

  • Jimmy ~"The Wizard"~Page

  • SPORTSNUIM...Led Zeppelin is your favorite...that covers it all!

  • welcome to jimmys 'planet' . long live the king

  • So many Zeppelin songs to choose hard to pick which is my favorite.

  • Otto's last words in the simpsons were 'zeppelin rules!'. Now that's some awesome shit son.

  • I yelled at myself when i realized this song wasnt on my ipod, then i yelled when i tried to change the song, its too good not to replay

  • I spent the nite in the snow 4 tickets in 1976 in dallas, butt the concert got cancelled ! i think Robert plants son died ..never got to see them, cuz i had to report to the(ARMY)..lol

  • I miss being in highschool, driving around with buddies and blasting Zeppelin.

Like my parents probably did 30 years before. Thats how you know its f*ckin' good

  • @corey4406 Who will remember the current acts shoved down our throats these days 30 years hence?

  • @Noodles37UK Thats what they probably said back then, yet here we are.

  • @corey4406 At least songs weren't written by committees in 1975

  • happy belated birthday to jimmy page may you rock on forever

  • Happy Birthday, Jimmy Page !!

  • Happy Birthday Jimmy , Thanks for this and all other great songs!!

  • down

  • c'mon The Wolves

  • Ye old zed...

  • I think Joe Walsh must have been listening to PG pretty constantly when he wrote Life in the Fast Lane --- cause he sure appropriated a lot of Jimmy's riffs from here. Maybe it was payback for Jimmy buying his famous Les Paul from Walsh in '69 for the princely sum of $500. Walsh must've been drunk when Page did the deal. Jimmy Page never misses an opportunity. LOL

  • @streetparade In 1982 I traded my '59 tiger sunburst LP for a Harley. When I was 21 4 grand was a lot!!! 'course that guitar might be valuable today!!!

  • Lol

  • I first saw LZ in Chicago at the Kinetic Playground in 1969. Both they and Jethro Tull were the opening acts for Vanilla Fudge. They each played 2 sets and it cost a whopping 5 bucks! It was general admission and since the Fudge was not a big draw the place was only half full. We sat on the floor right at the front of the stage and kibitzed with Page & Plant between songs. Rock & Roll heaven!

  • Zep is awesome!

  • 33 people are having a very bad day.

  • Zeppelin, Beatles, Black Sabbath

  • Overrated piece of shit. And please dont tell me i like Bieber its boring and pathetic just like this band.

  • @Rauser142 Why would you come here just to say that?

  • @Rauser142 OOOOhhhhh okay find a better band then they prove that the band is better and then we can discuss because at least i believe there's nothing better than led zeppelin

  • @Rauser142 obvious troll is obvious

  • @Rauser142 You like Justin Bieber, right?

  • @zxgz

I dont like him because he sounds alot like Led Zeppelin.

  • @Rauser142

    Good answer man.

  • kings of leon, rock and roll? jajajaja

  • was für eine zeit. bin im osten deutschlands aufgewachseen. war mein erstes doppelalbum von zeppelin, hat mich 250 ostmark gekostet und meine eltern damit genervt.

  • 32 people don't like to do it doggystyle.

  • You are actually experiencing the spirit of the African Man and all his glory. Zeppelin were extremely good copycats, even copying the the spiritual incantations of Africa. Abhor the Beatles they were fakes...

  • @joey23125 Oh god here we go...what ever douche bag! Why do blacks have to make everything a racial issue....the reality of the so called 'spirit of the African man is tribal drums, bongos and maybe a flute....the Africans did now what real music (let alone notes, guitars, etc) until the white man enlsaved them. yes Led zeppelin got inspiration from the blues, but where do you think the black man learned music from. LOL?

  • @zoso1234 Um... how do you know he's black and was your racial tirade any better than his comment? In fact, your comment was actually more racial then the one you replied to.

  • Comment removed

  • @zoso1234 Hey why don't you look up the history instead of running your ignorant mouth. The guitar was introduced to Europe by the Moors (Black Africans). Even your Southern hillbilly music is African music, look up the origins of the Banjo (brought over to America by Africans.) I hope your European colleagues aren't reading this, it only confirms what they already know, that all their ignorant criminals were shipped off to America. That's why they have a progressive society and you don't.

  • @joey23125 I know history dumb ass and of course your pea brain is wrong; here's the facts:40 CE the Romans have a cithara which is brought to Spain and combined with the Moorish oud; 8th century CE - 6 stringed instruments in use in Europe; 12th century CE - 4 string guitars in use, some with central sound hole;15th and 16th century the Spanish have guitar like, but lute-tuned, instruments...you nigs always claim other peoples inventions as your own, lol...fucking pathetic ass race!

  • @joey23125

Moors where not primarely black africans. they were an arab/berber people.

  • This song reminds me of my freshman year year in high school. I would stay home and jam out to Led Zeppelin all day. I had 27 absences in one semester and failed all my classes, but I don't regret a single moment of it.

  • @blr60cal Yes, brings back memories of my '68 camaro, hot stoner chicks, awesome beach parties and just goodtimes until family obligations and the 9 to 5 inslavement, lol

  • @blr60cal haha, i hope you were smoking weed aswel.

  • Dat Solo....

  • Such power!

  • This is fucking sexy....love it

  • I love it!

  • Sooooo much blues. Wonderful.

  • that solo gets my dick hard

  • @deubdx thats pretty fucking nasty...lol

  • @deubdx you sad fucker.

  • As a musician who learned and played almost every Zep tune ever released, I could say this may be my favorite song on the album. The drum intro, and every thing Bonzo plays thereafter is awe-inspiring. Jonesy's bass line is perfection. Paige drives it with his versatile style, and Plant delivers powerful vocals by any standard. We may want to consider that even if Paige wanted to mainly showcase the display of instrumental prowess evident in this song, Plant still delivered as only he could.

  • This song is amazing could listen to it a milllion times!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • age has nothing to do with likeing zep i was listing to them since i was 9 and now i am only 23 they just have bad taste in music and i am not sure why you would look up a bands vids if you dont like them.zep rocks btw!

  • go back under your rock if you dislike this or any other classic you must be to young to understand

  • At last I can play this on my guitar. Great songs never die.

  • Great song, but I just wish they didn't bury Plant's vocals so low in the mix on this album.

  • @ericjungleboy I have noticed that too on this album . I assume its because Plant was having alot of trouble with his vocal chords at that time . Sounds great though

  • @Cincinnatus1869 But he was only having trouble with his vocal chords on about half of the songs. The other half were recorded in 1974, when his voice was sounding great, and this song is one of those, but they still kept his vox low in the mix. They did the same thing on a couple songs on Houses of the Holy and i think maybe even on a couple of songs on Zep 4.

  • Proud to say I've never hit the dislike button on any song--wish 32 others could say the same!

  • you can see the smoke come off the guitar on this one...wicked riff!

  • wish people would check out more of zep than just what classic radio plays. zep was incredibly diverse-as much as i love black dog, rock n roll and stairway, i'm sick to death of them.

  • Disc 1 of Physical Graffiti is the best side of any double album ever released.

  • WHY DON'T YOU ALL SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!!

  • @DeBlaz21 wtf are you talking about john paul jones isnt dead

  • @DeBlaz21 Uh...JPJ is still making music with Them Crooked Vultures. Hopefully their second album will be out this coming year.

  • This brings back so many memories of great times, great parties, singing with this song, but really loud (and out of key) dancing on the table, beer, wine, marijuana, ...... Oh how I wonder where time went so quickly. Feels like yesterday we were completely blown of our feet by the music of LZ. Time goes by, but we have so many memories to cherish......

However this song is and always has been one of my favs.

  • 30 people don't know their ass from a hole in the ground .

  • @errfunction It's 32 now!!! This is one of Zep's best songs...........

  • I just noticed that on the fourth anniversary of the Led Zeppelin Reunion concert there was an eclipse of the moon, visible from "the dark side of the globe." "Still by the firelight, in purple moonlight, I hear the wrested rivers call." On one level Zeppelin really rocks, but there's much more to it than that.

  • Not even Zappa.

  • Rudy, Glenn, China - no one can touch this. bye

  • Great job, guitar in 1:28 rocks

  • The Song Always Remains The Same!

  • The Song Remains The Same! Zeppelin Rocks! Even 30 years after!

  • i was listening to the classic rock radio station here in philadelphia pa they said that Jimmy Page TO BE KNIGHTED...TO YOU SIR ...

  • @princessofmyheart01 about bloody time! Jimmy is a freaking TREASURE!

  • @princessofmyheart01 if he doesn't get it who in the arts would?

  • "and the wind is crying, from a love that won't grow cold"...i'm trying to describe what i'm feeling while listening to this song, but i can't, because the feeling is indescribable...just like the song

  • @addictint good description...never really understood this song, but I love it.

  • SO COOL.. YET HOT.. SUCH DUALITY.. WITHOUT COMPROMISE..

  • Once again ! SIMPLY BL:OWN AWAY ! POW !

  • I LOVE IT!!

  • Sorta Hendrixy..

  • HEY IsTHiS THE Best Song EVeR OR What!!!!

  • Pink Floyd is a whole different genra of rock music, more like psychedelic rock and or theatre/art rock I suppose; but when I listen to Zeppelin it's like a rocket ride into the Stratosphere!

  • Comment removed

  • When I set back and listen to music, I don't want to listen to a technical machine player. Instead, I'd much rather hear creative music, and that's why I didn't bog down my own music with overly technical solos and shit like that. My choice was to keep it at a moderately technical level and concentrate more at being creative. And, of course, I'm no where near Led Zeppelin's level either, but at least I admit that!

  • The real purpose of music is to be creative! Many bands today are outrageously overly technical but are way way off the mark when it comes to creative song writing. What a lot of people don't know about Jimmy Page is that he was very very capable of extreme technical playing being friends with guys like Les Paul, John McLaughlin, etc. But he wanted to concentrate MORE on being creative. Led Zeppelin is way better than ANY BAND of today simply for that reason. They were way more creative!

  • @guitarttimman Well said I agree 100%

  • Kick ass song! One of my many favs...

  • Zeppelin blows away all the other bands from the 60's 70's and early 80's! They we're truly innovators that influence many style of rock music after they split up and went their separate ways.

  • @zoso1234

the blow away the best of the best bands from now times! Too many of them got their heads up their own asses thinking they're the best because of technical playing, but what they forgot to realize is that music is much more about creativity! Zep and floyd still out rank all of the rest in that category. Like it or not, it is the truth and you know it!

  • DAMMIT! At first I thought Robert said "Dark Side of the Moon" and I got way excited. PINK FLOYD and Zeppelin, ftw! But alas, no. Still a great song, though.

  • Saw Zep Five times here on West coast, Best band ever, maybe not, greatest live band, in my mind, yes.....Total swag.....

  • @iamironman211 i think that is exactly what mothxal was referring to. the extreme fanatic behaviour. I agree completely with the musical prowess led zeppelin possessed. but rock has many different forms. so you cant state that zeppelin is simply the best, only that zeppelin is ONE of the best. zeppelin cant be compared to the, say, the velvet underground as both are completely different rock categories. but at the same time both can be considered the best so far in their respective categories

  • @SHamed92

look dude, none of that other shit is as good as Led Zeppelin. Pink Floyd is about the only other band that is at their level! AND THAT IS IT! SO YEAH! HE IS RIGHT!

  • @iamironman211 so basically you're claiming led zeppelin's music to be the only worthwhile music to listen to?

  • @SHamed92 1st off you should be ASHAMED ... 2cnd don't be absurd ... The point of "Fantasy" teams are to create the best possible scenario allowed by the laws of physics ... I am simply stating that under no circumstance past, present, or future has a more perfect musical conglomeration existed than the band that is Led Zeppelin ... when John Bonham died, that magical union died with it ... not the only band worth listening to ... SIMPLY THE BEST BAND IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK AND ROLL BAR NONE !!!

  • @SHamed92

now days, it almost is man. It almost is!

  • @mothxal I'm an avid zeppelin fan and I couldn't agree with you more

  • @SHamed92 What I told Mothball goes double for you ... because you claim to be a "fan" ...

  • Zeppelin fans annoy me. Can't people enjoy them without nonsensical theories about how Zeppelin is not only the bestest band ever, but also the only truly worthwhile music?

  • @mothxal I've got some words of wisdom for you ... FUCK OFF AND DIE !!! ... I'm sure it's not the 1st time you've been told to do so ... and it certainly won't be the last ...

  • @iamironman211 yeah, it's happened before. :)

  • I was introduced to Led Zeppelin from my father when i was only 5 years old, since then they have been my favorite band to listen to and play with on the guitar, this is my favorite song by them, thank you for posting this, you rock!

  • how many bands have every album LOADED with great songs??..only thing you can expect from Led Zeppelin is GREATNESS!! all hail the mighty Zeppelin

  • Longest 5 minutes of my life <3

  • led zeppelin fuck yes

  • If I were allowed to build a "Fantasy Band" ... this is how I would do it

#1 Lead Vocals = Robert Plant

#2 Lead Guitar = Jimmy Page

    #3 Drums = John Bonham

#4 Bass = John Paul Jones

    that is all ...

  • @iamironman211 ....and that's all you need to do, real simple......right? Nice iamironman211

  • @iamironman211 A really love what you wrote dude, but a would just change few things

#1 Lead Vocals = Robert Plant

#1 Lead Guitar = Jimmy Page

    #1 Drums = John Bonham

#1 Bass = John Paul Jones Here we are ;-)

  • @iamironman211 and...that is enough!!! =]]]]]
