I have to agree, although I understand there is a skill involved, it just seems like a ton of mashing and is not nearly as enjoyable as watching street fighter.

you can mash in any game tekken is not an exception. Like any game its all about knowing how and when to use certain moves. Most moves are punishable when blocked or can even be ducked between or at the end. so if your just mashing away without any real strat you'll find yourself getting slowly picked apart by someone who does know what they are doing. I don't know how else to put it but tekken has much more to it then just learning 1 combo. Its much deeper then that.
