Sorry, I DON'T EVER FLY on non-professional non-union airlines like Delta.
If the employees care so little about themselves on the ground to note vote for the AFA, then I can only imagine how little they care about passengers in the sky. Besides, the best trans-con is on United P.S. service. And yes, UNITED is fully unionized, and it shows!.
I wasn't saying that this was bad, I just don't recommend it. The long haul business elite is much better. And yes, this is better than most domestic business classes .
@FlyGuyDL737 You have a better option transcon? The flat-bed seats on the 764's/777LR's are better for long-haul international, but Business Elite for domestic flights is quite a nice product. This product sure beats the heck out of most other business class products, not to mention that Delta elites often get the upgrade to business for free.
@JohnRhysMusician What you're comparing is AA and UA's highest business class fares, "F", to Delta's cheapest "D". The reason why it's half priced is because it's not fully flexible...
Has anyone been on the Delta flight, business class, from JFK to Malaga, Spain? They say it is the same type of plane as they use for the SFO - JFK flight. But Delta says it does not have personal videos nor a USB connection for the JFK - Malaga flight. And I can't get a straight answer on the phone from Delta either.
I just flew on Delta first class. I did so because this video got me very excited. What I got was a shock. The cabin was NOTHING like this video. Old hard seats that reclined 2, inches, no foot rest no leg room to stretch. We got the same cheap pillow and blankets that the main cabin got. Cheap earphones to watch a movie on the old bulky tv screen on the ceiling. Couldn't hear the movie because the noise in the cabin was so loud.. The meal was cereal or omelette. Never again.
Delta have much better service then any other airline in US going to west.. LAX ...NYC.... SFO where united just dont care about their Frequent Flyers.... i was united FF....... From NYC LAX NYC SFO ..... but not any more bcz they dont care.......Now i am delta Gold member i get treated like a king... delta has improve alottttttttttt hopefully they will stay the same............If i dont fly delta then AA is muchhh better then United........
Im sorry i have to say that this is a total gimmick. This new service by Delta is crap service and they are trying to copy United Airlines.
United Airlines was the first one to come up with true premium service on JFK/LAX/SFO flights actual lie flat seats. Delta is obviously trying to copy United and they cannot keep up. This service is a joke and its not worth it. I'll stick to United as they are known for better premium service.
@LAXFlyguy85 With a do respect LAXflyguy Yes maybe United did come up with flat bed seatings does that mean every other airline needs to suffer, no they can attempt to enhance their service as well. One thing I gotta say is United's service is absolutely horrible compared to Delta who the flight attendants actually care about their customers. One thing we might be able to agree on is how crappy Continental is! In my own opinion I can't stand them!
Aww dude, your comment is valid but it doesnt make it true or make Delta any better,
Delta sucks. I worked for Delta years ago, an airline who doesnt care about their employees and anti-union. United has always always been known for the best domestic and international service on premium classes out of all U.S airlines. Delta serves cold sandwiches to Hawaii while United serves hot dinner with real china, AND thick blankets in all cabins, not just a cheap piece of fabric. =)
Unfortunately DL's First Class is nothing to write home about, and never has. I fly them aprox 4 times a year between SFO and RSW First Class, and the service is not impressive. They just don't, and never have gotten it !
I've been on this route (SFO-JFK-SFO) several times now. Definitely Delta's best domestic product, by a longshot. Redeye is nothing special, though, except for the good seat, blanket, pillow, etc.
These are the original business elite seats but cleaner.. This is not a product enhancement but a marketing gimmick. The only good seats this airline has is the fully flat beds to LHW, SYD and other long haul destinations and even the problem with this is that the service is still Delta...yuck
Ok um i was wondering if these are on flights from san francisco to honolulu because i was gonna go to fiji from continental now lol. no more air pacific -_-
I've tried all the airlines, and I'm going back to Delta. This airline is just a good, solid carrier with real class. They also offer "Breezeway" boarding for their first class cabin which is a real boon to the business traveler. NO OTHER airlines offers "The Breezeway"!!!!!!!
This is such a welcome change on Transcontinental flights. Now that this is available I'll use Delta more for international, knowing that the legs between SFO and JFK will give me the comfort that I need for such a long total journey. Delta keeps getting better and better, and my experience with them has been awesome. I'm sticking with Delta!!!!
OK, so anyone here who's flown Virgin America knows that they have the exact same seats in their premium cabin, and have been flying them around for over 2 years now... good to see that they are motivating the big guys to improve! As for me, I'm sticking to Virgin America
For those who travel more than the norm, flat seat should become a standard in any flight that is longer than 4 hours. Delta you should get with the program and be an innovator amongst the American brand airlines.
What I don't understand is just because there's no competition domestically, we Americans just have to deal with whenever the domestic airlines want to provide us with better service. Just look at Cathy Pacific or Singapore Airlines. I mean come on Delta, look at the airline rankings; there are no US carriers ranked higher than 3 stars. If you really want to come across as innovative, then you might want to learn from CX, SQ or even your Skyteam partner, Air France
@gavinusa1 why dont you read? there is plenty of competition AA, UA and VA all fly these routes this is a DOMESTIC BUSINESS CLASS! not international you cant compare it to singapore delta and united have mych better flat seatsin there international business class this is only for DOMESTIC flights.
As much as I love Delta, lets face it folks: Airlines don't invent seats. They buy an interior package from a company whose business is designing and outfitting cabins for airlines. The seats themselves are off-the-rack.
The new first class seats are great, just flew it this weekend. I would consider it more often if they upgrade the food. Competitors are offering a full appetizer course on this route and 3-4 entree selections.
Once again, Delta Airlines has done it again! These seats provide excellent comfort. The IFE is AVOD, which is spectacular on a long flight, as well as providing Wi-Fi on board is a great feature. Well done Delta, I am still a loyal customer after 5 years! :-)
Anyone else notice the black guy switched seats? At 00:27 he's on the right side of the aircraft, by himself, at the window on his laptop, and at 00:51 he's on the left side of the aircraft, on the isle by another passenger. Just thought I mention that. Great videos Delta, I want to see videos on the International, Transcontinental, and regular Service in economy, not just the wonderful service in Businesselite, I want to see what enhancements have been made in the rear of the plane.
obviously it goes from JFK-LAX OR JFK-SFO, same as United's ps

FlyGuyDL737 7 months ago
I don't recommend this type of "Business Elite" because:
a) If you want to sleep, the seat leaves you in a very awkward position with your legs hanging downwards over the seat.
b) The seat only offers 150 degrees of recline, which is better than Economy, but uncomfortable for sleeping.
c) The Business Elite cabin is overpriced on almost every Delta flight
Try to avoid this cabin, and this plane if possible...

@FlyGuyDL737 Couldn't disagree with you more. From JFK to LAX it is half the price per roundtrip ticket as United PS or American Airlines FIrst.
