What's with these comments on how it should be Z X and not "zekkusu?" In Japan, the game has always been pronounced as zekkusu. This is because there is no word for "Zee" In Japanese. And to further justify that, this is a review of the Japanese edition of the game. So please get your facts straight before commenting.

I personally enjoy the fact that games haven't changed much. The more rpg style Megaman's have been really stupid! I mean, there's probably a RIGHT way to do it, but they haven't yet. I grew up on the great classic Megamans, and when I saw ZX and ZX Advent for DS, I had to have them! And I thought they were awesome! Most of advent's biometals I found to be 90% useless, but the game was still very enjoyable. I prefer ZX over ZX Advent, but just because I thought ZX was a bit more challenging.

You left out an important element in both of your Megaman ZX game reviews , which is the double screen , that has an important part in getting through the game , not to mention all the new cool features they came up with . so yeah , it's not a whole different game (just like - did anyone say - POKEMON?) but that's not really a good way to review it . especially when it's so underrated that reviewers make people who never played the "50 different megaman games" believe it's bad . and it's not .

lemme tell you something quick: many games in the same series have similar plots, and Megaman ZX Advent was also the countinuation to Megaman ZX so duh, there's not much of a difference! And Kirby never changed that much either. Pokemon never did much change at all.

I think you made some fair points, however isn't it fair to say that a lot of games are guilty of the "deja vu" effect?

Pokemon for example, it has been very similar thoughout. In fact they sell at least 2-3 titles of the EXACT same game that use the same sprites and everything.

But overall it seemed like a balanced review.

o.O I should stop playing because I enjoy the story? I'll admit the series doesn't have the most well written story, or even best organized, but the Zero and ZX series both have rather interesting tie-ins with the rest of the overall series.

Although not to say they couldn't do away with the story completely..If they did that I wouldn't be on edge about an announcement for ZX3 though...The Expert mode ending is kind of crazy o.O

There were: 6 for the NES 5 for the SNES 14-16 for the PS1/2 atleast 1 for NGC 12 for GBA and like 6 for the Gameboy/Color SNES Megaman games had "16bit" graphics. On DS they are "32bit". And you say "they look pretty much the same"... They do NOT. before ZX there was Megaman Zero, the graphics in ZX are exacly like they were in Zero series. ... if you do a review, do it right.

The story is different between the male and female characters. Did you mention it? no. And so far ZX has one of the best storylines of this time lines games (MM-MMX-MMZ-MMZX).

In the review of RMZX1 You didn't seem to even know that the other models were all "souls" of other characters from the MMZ series..

And the Model you get in the beginning of this game is based on Axl, a character from the late Megaman X series.

I never quite understood the whole 'it's just like the first game' attitude. If the first one was good, then they make more of that, then what's the problem? Would you rather them take out everything that made the game good just for the sake of change? Really, the only Megaman games I got into were the Legends series. I'm still waiting for the third, not that it's going to come out. And you know, for the most part, Capcom does seem to use their sprites over and over again, so I agree with you. They may change attacks and stuff in the games, but they're all pretty much the same. The only different ones were Battle Network, Legends and I think X8 was a little different...

Im sorry but you said something that megaman zx advent is the same as its previeous, well in my opinion yes the gameplay might be, the graphics are highly improved ( backgrounds and so are much better ) and there hasent been a megaman game which makes you copy exactly everything from the boss you beat, to me this game is wonderfull, if people like/love platform games then this is a must.
