Police training suggests that 5 or 6 officers are needed to safely take down a resistant offender. One officer for each arm and leg. Another 1 or two to hold down and direct the other officers. If one or two officers attempted it, you increase the risk of the offender hitting their head, or getting a loose punch out and then people get hurt.

the cops did not need to use the force that they did. near the end the one cop is pummeling him in. the guy was only resisting in the first place because he was drunk and scared, thats why he barracaded himself in an office. in my opinion he was actually protecting himself from the public by putting himself in that room, then got scared of the cops, like anyone would when they are drunk, and paniced. if they need 6 guys to put him into handcuffs, they are inadequate for the job in the first plac

i agree with condeezy... if it takes 5 guys to get this guy down then their something wrong.... people cops need to learn some jiu jitsu and submit that kid. Well all cops are human beings so some have some slight decency by the way and therefore I do have some respect for some of them. Condeezy statement about 6 guys putting him to handcuffs is quite accurate. They simply aint adequate for the job.

The cops simply tried to arrest him, to which he resisted. Wtf would you do?

If the police get called in, usually there's a reason for it - to handle a situation.
Police don't say "stop resisting" for no reason, then have other officers come and back them up.

Apparently, if you don't want to get arrested, the police should simply respect your decision and allow you to leave the scene.
If the cops have you down on the ground and they can't convince you to put your hands behind your back. Apparently the cops must remain in that position for the rest of their natural lives or until the suspect voluntarily complies with his arrest.
Regardless, at no time should the police try to impose their will on a suspected criminal. Lol.

Oh haha I didn't realize this was a street fight where one individual proves who is tougher than the other. I thought this was an ARREST where safety of the officers is the #1 concern.
But you're right, genius. One cop should have gone 1 on 1 with this guy to prove how tough he is. Or maybe he could use some backup so that he doesn't potentially get hurt or killed in a scuffle with some nutcase. Sounds like a terrific idea!
