when trying to get something round. try taking a piece of belt sander paper and rip it into long pieces . hold on the ends and pull back and forth. it gets things very round and smooth at the same time ;)
Sehr shön!!! this turned out beautiful. I love the faux straps. I also love the pics of Duane's trunks. his darker one is the best!! keep up the terrific work. you're an inspiration in the world of woodworking.
ive new to your videos and ive got to say WOW, that table is beautifull and i can imagine how proud you must have felt onve it started coming to life. im new to woodworking and watching some of your videos has been a massive help. i have finished building my own air rifle stock and im soo proud of it. how would you approuch making one of these?, it would be sweet if you could make a vid of you building a stock just to see how a seasoned woodworker would approuch it.
I really like the idea of the four legs joining to a center piece but it seems like to much work, Maybey on the next end table you could have the legs cross in an x pattern
Hey Nice work on this end table it's not finished yet and it already looks really good. It looks so nice. If I can ask, do you sell anything that you make? cause your work is great. keep up the good work woodwhisperer. :)
Thanks! I do sell some of my projects. I used to make custom furniture for a living, but lately most of my pieces are for friends or family. The show/website is my full-time job now. So the pieces I built don't have to be for customers anymore.
@Pedrofreestyle97 I might not be the best person to ask. I don't really build furniture for clients all that often anymore. But in general terms, no. Custom furniture is a niche and its a tough way to make a living.
IMHO, a squarish peace of tempered glass that fits the legs(rounded edges) would be just perfect.
Easily removeable for cleaning and replacement. Just use some felt parts for the glass to sit upon, and one can see the BEAUTIFUL WOOD from all view points!
at the 9:58(and slighty sooner moment) this is where a "Guide coat" would come in handy! Meaning, (like in use in autobody repair) using a Contrasting color to easly see those naughty low spots when rough sanding.
Haha thanks! Honestly, I'm pretty happy doing what I'm doing now. I have a worldwide audience and no one to answer to. What else can a content producer ask for? :)
Personally, I would find it tricky to control that. So I usually prefer round and teardrop-shaped cutterheads. They give me a much softer approach and more control.
Amen ...i hope youll make some money to continue are education of woodworking...a litlle comment...for me i would make the same table..up side down lol but it look very sweet the way youve done it ..make some more pls
Thank God I found your Youtube channel, I was tired of watching HGTV type shows and edited compacted versions of woodworking. 5/5 stars for the details you DON'T leave out!
You produce some of the most interesting videos, I enjoy every one I see, very informative and well presented. Why don't you have your own TV show. Would like to see you do a video on coopering, small of course ie, not barrels.
Very good looking piece. I will go for wood outside trim with a glass insert. But, neither way, whole glass or not, it is already a good looking piece.
Looking good, Yea , i don't like all glass top. maybe solid wood out sides with round window in the middle. It would draw the eye to the center more to show off the dove tails even more.
What ever you choose I'm sure It will be a nice piece. Great Job

@tallytutu Thanks for the kind words. I actually never thought about making a rifle stock but that's a very interesting idea. I'll keep it in mind.

@Pedrofreestyle97 Guild memberships are definitely one of the things that allow me to make a living.

@TheWoodWhisperer cool and i was just wondering, is there was a big demand for custom made furniture?

What is your opinion on a dremel tool or a sanding disc in a grinder? Is it too uncontrolable?
