Wow, that's a really moving performance. I'm not a big Bechet fan but this is terrific, and the documentation is superb! A winning collaboration.

@lindyhoppers This has nothing to do with his musical qualities. By the way, he played this tune already in 1919 with Will Marion Cook's Southern Syncopated Orchestra for King George V in Buckingham Palace.
This man is the Johnny Dodds of the soprano saxophone..His heartfelt,and moving playing belies the fact he was a difficult and belligerent man
