If they really want a break from their house, they should go sit in their hometown jail, locked up in it for a week or two.

There is actually a fence around the airport plus armed police/Army patrols around the airport.
The airport is under heavy security because of it's past time. The ATC tower has been even blown up by some separatists.

Town of Lukla in Khumbu, eastern Nepal. Runway length is 1600ft. The airport elevation is 9380ft!
