there's so many iron because now those aren't caves anymore, that's now called a mine and that's the reason there's so many coal and iron an stuff ;)

THIS MIGHT HELP YOU PEOPLE WIT LAGGY MINECRAFT!

1.Open up minecraft menu

2.press ctrl+alt+delte

3. go to 'processes' tab

4. look for javaw or what ever java thing

5. right click--->set priority to 'real time or high'

This should reduce lag for your minecraft. I'm no thumbs whore but give it a thumbs up so other can see!

There is nothing wrong with lots of iron and ore even with lower spawn rate you will get to a point were all your tools are diamond and iron just builds up in your chests. for people who like to build (me included) they don't want to spend a year branch mining because they need a few iron blocks /rant off

i got 64 iron ore blocks in one tunnel. i still have at least 32 more tunnels to explore. the tunnels also lead into a ravine full gold and more iron ore! :D
