Yea my pitbull does this to, but she's 80 pounds. If we want to vacuum, we have to lock her in the bathroom or she barks and bites the vacuum.

My dog chases the vacuum as well. The only difference is, my dog does not bite the vacuum nor does it growl like yours did. That was HILARIOUS!

I have the same vacuum. My Weenie dog Lucy has to hide under a pile of pillows and blankets. She Holds perfectly still till I'm done, then she comes out. I think the vac is a monster.
