Better music than what Degarmo did??? Really??? Not sure its even close as the Degarmo side music was a master piece compared to post Degarmo. Not even close... Compare Eyes of Stranger or I Will Remember, etc... to any other songs after he left and most can see the separation is very clear.

@kk6downing Bruce Dickinson is a much better singer then Dio, always has been. much more range, power, better live, better frontamn, more over all voice quality(as in Dio had a amaizng "Metal voice" but hard to imagine singing anything else). so yah Bruce is better.

I think Kelly played the parts excellently, very nice nuance with the delay and the slight pinch harmonics on the solo was great. I think Degarmo has great song writing skills but Kelly I think actually played it better here at least. Its a bit more ballsy thicker tone. the studio version is clean thinner but I think rather bland and sterile...really listen to kelly's leads; very juicy almost organic. just my opinion.

@clw8309 Unfortunately Kelly wasn't the best fit for the band. Lord knows why he screwed up so badly. Stone was FAR better once he gained some time with the band. Shame he had to leave. :|

@rcrase er, he did. If he was improvising then he's both disrespectful and not very creative. The "improvisations" were nothing compared to what DeGarmo was capable of. He should've showed the guy some respect and played them how they were meant to be played. Also, Whip does most of the studio guitar work, obviously. :p

At the end of the day, it's art, and art should never be reproduced as a carbon copy. I don't have time for critics, the world doesn't need them and there's a reason Kelly still works with the Ryche. Live performances are never perfect, even if you're Queensryche.  Now, get a life. Good bye!

@rcrase Dude, if you're playing a cover it's good to improvise and make it your own. If you're playing Chris' music in the band he wrote it with you just play the damn song! Grey fuckin ruined the solo, and intro. I've been playing guitar for a year and a half and can play this song note for note perfectly, including both of the parts aforementioned. Not to mention Scott Rockenfield was horribly rusty in this performance.

@glangfo1 Get over it all ready. Chris hasn't been a member of the band for 14 years!! Yes, he did an extra stint with them for one album but that can barely be counted.

The ryche are STILL great without him. Yes, he's a legend and will never be forgotten but either enjoy the band as they are or move on. Chris is GONE and has been for a lonnnng time. Almost as long as he was WITH them in fact.
