WOW!..John (Superboy) Rockwell looks like a younger version of George (Superman) Revees!..it would be real nice if the producers can show this amazing series footage on tv today!..thx so much for posting this incredible scene of SUPERBOY! =0]
@MrReneManuel That same squirrel is startled about three times in this episode. Is he stalking Superboy? Looking to store his nuts in that indestructible cape? :)
This wouldn't have made much sense, because the George Reeve's Superman show already established that Clark Kent became a superhero as a man, not as a boy.
Revisionism isn't a new concept in comics, and it goes on to this day. When the silver age DC heroes were introduced, longtime writer Gardner Fox came up with the idea of introducing parallel Earths to explain what happened to the Golden Age heroes (Jay Garrick, Alan Scott, etc.). My understanding is that Superman had never been Superboy on what they called "Earth Two."
One of the things that frustrates me the most about them: their lack of respect for their own storylines. The movies are just as bad. Batman took on the Joker in DARK KNIGHT because they're pretending that the older movie where Batman killed some other Joker back in the 80s never happened. SUPERMAN RETURNS pretends that the last two movies never happened, and James Bond became 007 after 9-11, in his 21st movie!
This is what comes of greedy execs calling the shots instead of creators.
Why do they cut to a pic of a squirrel every time Superboy starts flying?

He shot right at Superboy. That is attempted murder. I think you'd do more than 6 months for that.

I just try the "1911" button. Cute. Not first time an actor in their 20's playing a teen.

Little man no "boy" actor looks like in late 20's sheesh

@ericinwisconsin LOL! That's sick!

@ericinwisconsin I guess for humor. Every time there is a flying scene they used a startled reaction of a small animal.

That theater owner looks a lot like the warden from Superman I.

Yeh, like a two-bit movie theater would be trusted with a fortune in diamonds just to promote a premiere... :P

"Malicious mischief"? Not the attempted murder of a police officer?
I wonder about the way Jim is staring at those diamonds Superboy was making, though -- is he feeling greedy...?

Seriously! Take a few pot shots at a police chief now and see what happens!

"Why, of course. I love it when people tell me what to do in my own office!"
