  • looks like the old continental engines they used in the CC boats.

  • Thank you very much they are all beatiful. Luckly we saved them and they didn't go up in smoke. Thanks for all of the positive comments, she is in the heated garage getting her chrome polished up. Have a fun and enjoyable summer.

  • @112motorsports hi mate im a mechanic meself here in Australia and I still cherish the memory of buying me first 5 foot fibreglass boat with a 3hp mercury on the back of it. Loved boating. May I ask what sort of prices youd be looking at for one of these suckers? If i were to get another boat it would be one of these gorgeous things.

  • I too have a 1942 special-named Bongo Cruiser at Lake Winola PA. Not a very common boat. Yours is a beauty. Time to get them out of the garage again.

  • jeryl1968 actually your not at all correct. The reason why the idle matters is one it is hard on the transmission if it is shifted at to high of a throttle kind of like doing a neutral slam in your car and second if it's the first time the boat has run in 4 years the idle might have to be set so it runs properly

  • @253checkmate hey just a question when your shifting the gears on a chris craft do you have to let up on the throttle before you shift gears or when your going at any speed.

  • the reason to ask whats it iddleing at is because if its iddleing to fast its hard to control when docking ? correct ? yes im correct ? nice boat and theres a reason for everything when it comes to boats especially wooden boats

  • Nikkodemis so I am a redneck for verifying what the engine was running at, being that it was the first time in 4 years it was started. Wow are you are from where? Come on down to NC and I will show you a Redneck.

  • please...in the name of all awesome engine exhaust, please stop talking over the sound of the exhaust...who cares what its idling at...damn rednecks :P

  • But they are a labor of love. This one is in Mooresville NC soon to be in Indianapolis, IN.

  • i had the same boat! sold it in april. : ( Where is this?

  • i love it!, ... my 55 had a hemi in it. boat had a lot of rot. but i love them,....but they are a lot of labor.

  • nice boat i have a 1941 chris same as that with a 4 in it that looks like a 6 you got? we never put the boat in the water its alot of work. how did she hold up in the water???

  • what motors they put in them? or what motor is this one?

  • That would be a Chris-Craft K , a marinized of Hercules 6. 228 cubic inches, 95 HP
