Me to. I'm glad, always, to be able to watch these two. Good to hear from you again. I've missed you. Come back often. I have several of their pieces of work. I really loved the work in the 1950's ShowBoat. Charlie
@navydoctrinidad . I love this dance sequence- i remember watching clips of it on a 'thats entertainment' dvd boxset that i bought a few years ago- but never got to see the whole sequence. Until now! Elegant and romantic choreography; very touching. I'm drawn in by the whole look and feel of the set; to the simple-but beautiful- blue diamond/star studded background with matching dress. They looked sensational together. Thank you so much for uploading it for us. It's beautiful.
This is the most gorgeous piece of dance I have ever seen. I could never get tired of watching this and marvelling at their graceful lines....beautiful song 'smoke gets in your eyes'.....I go to another world every time I see this...thank you for sharing this high definition scene!! x
@fairyprincessdiamond I'm so glad you could enjoy it. They were truly masterful at their craft. Great show people and from what I heard over the years truly remarkable folks. Thanks for watching. Charlie
I couldn't agree more. When I was in high school in the 50s and beyond I worshiped the magic of Marge and Gower on the dance floor. This particular number has such perfection......the lines, the posture......right down to Marge's fingertips.....percision. I am so thankful this number is now published. I can watch it again and again.
Good point about the Champions being married. I always loved this sequence because it made the dance an extension of the plot: gorgeous and even magical at 2:29, when the set magically changes to a starlit dance floor when the Champions first kiss. It was a love scene, not a performance for an audience. It's not Astaire and Rogers, but it doesn't try to be either. I especially love the last section where they swing each other around in circles. Just lovely. Thank you for this post.
@mca1218 Thanks for the marvelous comment. Observation is obviously a large skill of yours. You're absolutely right, they didn't need to be Astaire and Rogers, they had their own "skin" so to speak. They had a long history in the entertainment field. Taught for years after they quit the movies. Thanks again. Charlie
@oldtexasmusic My pleasure. I really do enjoy this YouTube stuff. It is awesome to be able to converse with like minded folks and to see and hear all this fabulous music. Thank you for the comments and your time.

Heaven. Makes me sad to know they split. Ah well, there is life off the dance floor, but we're blessed with their gifts.

Charlie, it was fabulous. The lead in and the actual dancing. I do not recall this one, but it was appreciated.
