elSoldner is right on. It's more than "exhaling into the Body"-- that is, serving folks who are already in Christ. If you stay with his "respiration" metaphor, that would be circulation: inhaling oxygen and distributing it to the rest of the body where it's needed.
THEN you (the communal "you"!) exhale. You breathe out life to folks who are not yet part of the Body. You give, you serve, you love, you defend and protect and encourage folks who are in your sphere of influence but not in Christ.
Erwin You are great! Jesus proved this by giving Himself to His deciples. All His time, all His WISDOM and all His LIFE. JESUS GAVE HIM TO US! All HIMSELF! Hallelujah! Erwin I like Your preaching so much! Erwin Blessing is on You, praise God! You are such a Blessing!
I don't want to talk-down the importance of fellowshipping with other believers, but other believers are of the same body, the body of Christ. What I mean by that is, if we exhale into the body of Christ, than we are actually still inhaling as the the body of Christ. I think it is important to see what Erwin McManus is saying, not only on a personal level, but also on a much larger scale as the body of Christ.
Erwin - I met you many years ago at FBC/O. I am so glad you are doing what you are doing. If we allow others to leave in pain after we just say "I'm praying for you," that is so wrong. Jesus never left people without trying to help them in some way. How can we let others go without his message or without basic help. We have to give till it hurts - that was part of God's plan. We cannot do enough for people through God's help.
wow that is so true, I never thought about it like that. Thank you for your message, I hope that others will gain from this as I have. God Bless your ministry.
