The drums in this album are really strong. I love the drum and bass. Rush is so well planned out and executed. They remind me of Pink Floyd with their excellent sound quality and musical influences. I've just discovered Rush. They're really cool.
So many hidden gems on this entire CD. Most of the songs have incredible choruses. Just gotta stick w/it like most Rush when u 1st here it. lol, it's always like wtf? Play it again, again. again, somewhere in that next week, it's stuck in your head 4ever. Great stuff.
It's funny that an album that was kinda rejected by the fans back in the day is still better than anything in rock right now. I love Power Windows. I always got it. It's called beautiful positive music played with real talent.
This is when Alex took a back seat to the overall sound but I look back at this album and appreciate it more. Its funny how the younger crowd is discovering Rush after all these years. Considering how bad today's music is I guess its not too surprising. Next time you see some dumb white kid with his hat backwards and acting like Vanilla Ice just remember some Rush songs...and laugh your ass off at the wannabe Slim Shady...LOL
@ViciousAlienKlown I'm part of that younger audience listening to Rush, being 16 and fed up with my generation's "music". I got into them last year and still wish I hadn't been wasting so much time on modern rock. Rush has been my favorite band ever since I started listening to them, and I drive my family crazy by obsessively listening to them and ranting about how awesome they are! At least I have my uncle, the biggest diehard Rush head ever, or else I'd go insane keeping it all to myself
15, grew up almost being forced to like rush, and kinda was, that was all I was really listening to in the car, never really heard much else besides coldplay, police, and some other bands but mostly rush, and now I love them.
@ViciousAlienKlown Even though he takes a back seat, this album has some of the hardest rush to play on guitar. I can barely play Big Money and Territories.
