It appears these poor souls are talking about being brain washed by a cult that enjoys tax free status and impunity from being prosecuted. It would be interesting to know how much money the organization donates to politicians and which office holders gets the most money. This poor girl sounds like she has been victimized by a black program to effect mind control over her. The GREATER GOOD would be working with the individual to help them HANDLE the family member. And this is the POLICY but so many dont have time and are too busy so they take the quick and easy path of DISCONNECTION. It should be a crime.
And there are many steps that can be taken to help a person handle family members. Remember, communication is the Universal Solvent and anything can be solved with communication alone. Dont abandon parishioners who need help because youre too busy.

The tell their friends, the speak freely on the Internet and to journalists. When all is said and done, you get hundreds against Scientology for every ONE or TWO kept by erroneous application of the policy

Julia does have a limited understanding of what Scientology is but there are errors.
But then it is hard to learn about something with which you have a strong emotional upset created by losing a family member.
This should NEVER have happened. It is highly recommended against recommending disconnection, but shortsighted Scientologists with personal agendas and misunderstanding of policy coach parishioners into disconnecting from family members anyway.

There's more to fix in Scientology than just disconnection. Scientologists need to wake up and get the negatives fixed in Scientology.
