im tall , got red hair and pale and i have freckles on my face and arms. although i never got teased (i do not know why!) growing up, i did have the random boys/girls/men/women say i was so ugly or that i was so pretty. but the ugly comments would hurt the most. i never understand why people are so mean about red heads! they would tell me i should die my hair black or get my freckles removed which made me want to keep them all the more! and most annoying when they'd tell me i needed a tan! noo!

@morellocherry1 your lucky you never got teased.. in year 7 i was pinned up against a school bus by the throat by a year 12 guy and was told to dye my hair black or he would kill me. obviously i did it cause i was scared to death.. and now after trying to be somebody else for 4 and a half years, im finally back to red.. its slowly growing out now. ive got freckles all over my face and i bloody love em. i dont know what its like to have white skin though, im lebanese so i have tan skin hmm.

half assed ginger here! i had strawberry blonde hair, but i was white as a ghost(which kids teased me about) and freckles not necessarily on my face but on my whole body, especially my back! i can not tan to save my life, i just burn like a red lobster. one time i tried self tanner when i was 13 b/c i was teased so bad, never again is all i am going to say to that!

@tikatika88 I've had good friends tell me that and I saw the teasing that redheads got as kids. Unfortunately I was teased because i was tall and had braces - but teasing for any reason can definitely be painful. Its a shame that more kids and adults can't learn to appreciate our differences instead of using them to hurt people.
