Sacramento Cali, have started three kinds of tomatoes (Ace, Better Boy, and Sweet 100 Cherry), Chicago Pickling Cucumbers, Asian Cucumbers, Garden Peas, Beans, and Herbs and even got fruit going! Thank you for all your tips!!
@CanarsieBK wait, it's Cedar Grove in Surrey, there are about 50 plots I think & we got in 1st try ;)
still picking some horsetail out yet the peas, beans, cilantro etc. are growing, some little slugs got at the leafs tho, & ants at 1 of the strawberries!
Got my garden planted... two plots approximately 10X20... tomatoes, peppers, okra, watermelon, cantaloupe, zucchini, squash, and cucumbers.... also have 10 tomato plants in a separate bed... and a container-based herb garden...
I'll post my gardening vlog as a response to this video so you can see it. =)
had planned on a winter garden but it's way too cold where I am to even consider weeding. I'll probably let things go a little wild over the next few months and then come August / September will start the garden tidy up and get some seedlings growing
Last week I planned out with my family what we wanted to grow and Sunday we went out and got tools, soil, compost, plants, and seeds. We broke ground that afternoon and we continued the work today digging and leveling out a garden bed. Tomatoes, crook neck squash,Lemon cucumbers, swiss chard, basil, thyme, sage, oregano, and I think a few others will be going in by Friday.
I have seedlings started indoors 32 tomato plants and 23 pepper plants, on my balcony in self watering containers Thanks to your great video with making them containers I made so far 11 buckets. have growing in one spinach, lettuce, and mint.
hope to transplant some tomatoes and peppers out there soon. The last fronst date in Minnesota is not here yet. Also doing some raised bed garden at another location with a friend and getting other friends the push to grow there own food.
Got lettuce, radish, onion, carrots, potatoes out in pots and just waiting for last frost date to put out tomatoes, peppers, courgettes, squash and pumpkin! and I jus happily found out I got 1/2 an allotment (piece a land you rent in the UK) its a hot mess but am working on that, basically cutting back overgrown wild raspberries (like triffids) and getting rid of grass and weeds...hard work but I love it
I added 13 more fruit trees and8 more berry plants 30 different herbs my seedlings are growing in my greenhouse I have so much more to plant I love it.
I planted potatoes and snow peas on St Patrick's day and it's rained every week since then here in Indiana. Both are about 12" tall now are are growing fast. The cabbages are doing great as well as the lettuce, green onions, turnips, and beets. As soon as it warms up and the garden drys out I'll plant the tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers...when will this rain stop !!!
Lemon mint is doin well and clonin well also. Tomatoes sunflowers went out today zucchini and okra to follow in a week or so. In the window seal I got my Thai basil beets lettuce and cad
i have been harvesting green beans, corn, yellow squash, zuchinni, and a few cherry tomatoes! Square foot gardening+mississippi gulfcoast weather=early veggies!
Whatchoogotgoinon?? I planted a bunch of seeds; a bucket with purple potatoes; onions, and my snap peas are actually popping out of the ground. I bought tomatoes, herbs, peppers, and greens, but I can plant them outside yet so they're in a sunny spot in my house. Pretty good since it's still 55 degrees up her in Vermont...reminds me, I think I should bring the bucket o' taters under shelter since it's supposed to rain for 5 days :0( ughhhh!
not a lot of fully developed stuff yet (besides a few herbs such as sage, thyme, and chives) but lots of stuff taking off in the gardens: beans, peas, potatoes, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, raspberries, rhubarb, spinach, lettuces, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers... mmmm all of that in a list sounds so awesome. there are lots of "plans" that I had but I feel like I'm way behind on them just due to time and poor weather. all of your greens look great ~Amanda
