all japanese car are great with low an mid an high range topend power muscle cars just make noise untill they reach up in the rpm before they start to move while in a japanese car u would be in second gear going third gear while the muscle car is trying to get under control to go in second gear that what i have witness time an time again i do like mustangs the only muscle car that makes sence to me but japanese special the supra it the only car i want but itz banned from my country

the first japanese sports car to land on the us was a Nissan/Datsun 240Z in 1970. it has a 2.4L inline 6 and even then, for its time, it was beating the crap out of all muscle cars left and right, later came the 260Z (2.6) and then 280Z (2.8) and the 2.8 came twin turbo, which were taking names left and right! in the 80's The japs incorporated Turbo cars, our grandfathers of turbo cars are (RX7, 300ZX, Supra, and for their time, they were also taking names. and till this day, it continues...

wow half of the cars i see here either have american motors(3000gt chrysler motor, any rotary motor patent own'd by ford) or were designed by americans. any nissan made in their late 70s to mid 90s and miata's were designed with the help of carrol shelby. i do agree though the syle of new jap cars kinda sucks.

if you ask me, it's not about "how much" horse power/torque, but what the car can do with it. Will i ever drive lambos, or cars like that? no, but mainly cause i don't like how they sound. Now comparing muscle cars, the ligenfelter corvette vs '03 SVT cobra with a kenne bell supercharger? The cobra would win, but not by very much, where as you're comparing a supercar with a "daily driver" sports car. any questions that anyone would like to ask me?

Yes the MID8 was almost identical to the later NSX. I wrote a piece on the Nissan on Wikipedia. Honda got Pininfarina to design the NSX which when it arrived was amazingly similar!!! Have a good day!

well see i have a '57 chevy bel' air with ls1 swap w/ 6 speed also have a buick GNX #45 ..... yes they agood for makin power but me being an turbo import type guy i have to say import are the the dominate car on the track and on the road... thats y pontiac is goin out of bisness imports have better quality done to them they have way more comfort fts. like duel clim MP3 capability ect. i think the only thing that GM came out with that is good was the LSX

In terms of build quality, then yes, japanese cars have the edge, but remember, most japanese cars in the U.S. are built here. Infinity, scion, and lexus are technically american. And don't come on my channel tellin me, "OH, MY HONDA CAN BURN UR PIECE OF SHIT CORVETTE!" If theres any street legal japanese car out there that beats the worlds fastest street legal car (rob sauborys 63 corvette) then i'll listen to ya.

Honda S2000 = C:18, H: 25 mpg.

Corvette Z06 build quality: bad.

Honda S2000 build quality is a lot better.

I don't want to mention GT-R > Z06 (since those two are more comparable since they are in the same price range).

Maybe the Chevy 250 and Ford 302 did what you said. But on the other hand... There are countless of Japanese cars that achieved SO many things.. not just two cars, like the american muscle.
