The game its fun but its a contradiction and an insult to what really Banjo Kazooie is. This game now makes it that you spend over 90% of it designing and riding a car / airplane thing and 10% actually wandering around. If you go into this game looking for a 3rd installment in the series you'll be disappointed, but if you play it without predetermined expectations then there's no reason you can't enjoy it. I enjoyed the vehicle building system despite it's obvious flaws. There were always easy ways around doing the more impossible challenges. Like the sumo challenge with the pig, I couldn't push his vehicle off the platform whatsoever. Though I could grapple my car to his then toss mine off to drag him off :D

This game was a major dissapointment, I thought they were joking when they released the vehicle screenshots, I was like "Ha, funny rare, they wouldn't do that, it's a terrible idea" I cried when I learned it wasn't a joke. (I didn't really, but I did inside)
The stupid part of this game is the tedium. You shouldn't have to do the same race over and over again but throughout the different HORRIBLY designed levels. The games built up of 3-4 basic elements of game play: Race someone, shoot someone, collect someones shit, or escort someone somewhere. That's it. And than you get vehicles with: wheels (which are stiff and have no shocks nor suspension) so your pretty much driving a bouncy piece of shit, not to mention the collision detection... Awful.

It pissed me off when Gregg Mayes (Rare guy) said "the Banjo of yesteryear has no real place in tomorrow's market on the Xbox 360." Has he not noticed that Mario Galaxy 1&2 were both very successful? Even though the the 360 is another system aimed at another demographic, the idea of changing it from a platformer to a vehichle builder was pure idiocy. Had they made a Banjo-Threeie, it surely wouldn't have sold any worse than this crap.

If you go into this game looking for a 3rd installment in the series you'll be disappointed, but if you play it without predetermined expectations then there's no reason you can't enjoy it. I enjoyed the vehicle building system despite it's obvious flaws. There were always easy ways around doing the more impossible challenges. Like the sumo challenge with the pig, I couldn't push his vehicle off the platform whatsoever. Though I could grapple my car to his then toss mine off to drag him off :D

Dude, I love you! This was the most hilarious and most sad thing I've ever seen. I was a hardcore Banjo fan and Rare really did fuck us. I mean seriously, I can't even wrap my mind around why they would want to put vehicles in a fucking platforming game let alone a Banjo Kazooie game. I really have a feeling Microsoft had something to do with this because Rare was soooo much cooler before they were bought out by Microsoft. Bunch a douche bags those Microsoft guys are!

This game was a major dissapointment, I thought they were joking when they released the vehicle screenshots, I was like "Ha, funny rare, they wouldn't do that, it's a terrible idea" I cried when I learned it wasn't a joke. (I didn't really, but I did inside)
One thing I do have to say though.
This is NOT Microsofts fault.

The stupid part of this game is the tedium. You shouldn't have to do the same race over and over again but throughout the different HORRIBLY designed levels. The games built up of 3-4 basic elements of game play: Race someone, shoot someone, collect someones shit, or escort someone somewhere. That's it. And than you get vehicles with: wheels (which are stiff and have no shocks nor suspension) so your pretty much driving a bouncy piece of shit, not to mention the collision detection... Awful.

I'm gunna tell you all whats really going on. This is not an opinion, but rather what's truely happening with RARE.
It's not Microsoft causing this. Sense MS bought RARE, the original creators of these games left because they didn't want to do gimmicks like this when a mjority of the dev team wanted. So the ones who did stayed and have no direction what so ever.
