This is why I do not buy Fords the metal is thinner used in them just like many import cars, thin sheet metal, crappy coating and within 7-10 years old they start rotting from the inside out! All Mustangs need at least a 8-point rollcage to keep them together in a wreck like this and it'll strengthen the unibody frame up for better handling (it'll prevent body twist and flex), also with a cage you can upgrade to 5 point harness belts to keep you planted in the car!

As a member of law enforcement, I have worked plenty of wrecks and judging by the length of skid, damage to car and lack of damage to the pole, I would estimate you doing a minimum 65mph and your car was already weak in connections in the unibody. Pole would have had more damage if your car was at full strength in the unibody

As a member of law enforcement, I have worked plenty of wrecks and judging by the length of skid, damage to car and lack of damage to the pole, I would estimate you doing a minimum 65mph and your car was already weak in connections in the unibody. Pole would have had more damage if your car was at full strength in the unibody

Look at the car at 1:39 Your lucky the car held together as long sa it did, The Foxbody Cars are well known for the rust on the strut towers and door hinge bolt area. By the way the picts look in the clip, it was already rusted to hell, You spent all your money in the wrong area's

sucks about the accident, however, find it really difficult to believe you were actually doing 45-50 mph, judging by the length of the skid marks prior to the impact of the pole you should have shed 10-15mph, and if you said your car split like that doing 35-40mph than im sorry to say but ford really is a pos, lol. Not to mention the fact that the swipe mark on your passenger side door from the minivan is quite long, which either means he was going much much slower than you, or you were speeding

I know how you feel man I had a 89 looked just like that but with different rims and hood I was cruising down a back road on my way home from work when a dodge ram came out of nowere and slammed me into a tree it was bad but Thank god it was fix able it was a close call for me but I'm glad to be here and that was a great car man good job finding that

I wrecked a 91 coupe, had a head on 50mph collision. I was lucky and blessed to walk away. The rest doesn't really matter, but............ You were going faster than 45mph. Sorry, these cars don't split like that at 50mph or under.

Slow down! Im a Texas guy too. I know rippin around is fun trust me I know I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 427 under the hood. I was in a fatal accident (not my fault) last year. Did the frame have rust or rust out? I have never seen one just hit a pole like that and break away. That is so freaky man. My dad did body work and owned his own shop for years (30+) and I have never seen something come in that way. Glad you walked away.

When did MACCO start charging that much for paint? Look at the chips all over the front clip BEFORE the crash. From what few pictures at various angles of the engine it looks stock. Someone does that kind of work it's gonna have chrome. $2800 is a fair amount for a beater Fox body Mustang. Go get another one off craigslist or the impound auction.
