  • That's what happens when you oppress the proletariat homie.

  • Kirsten Dunst is cute.

  • She looks like a Queen .

  • I adore Kirsten. She is beautiful, talented. I don't care what other people think of her.

  • i love her style :)

  • kirsten is so sexy

  • Best movie ever!!

  • In Paris you can also see the prison where she was held until the execution.

  • Nice uploads ! Interested in the history of Versailles, Louis XIV, Marie-Antoinette..........? Visit the Versailles channel.

  • Omg the narrator has the flattest voice i've ever heard. But i loved this movie!

  • whats even more sad than maries death is her children died as well, her surviving son was taken and held prisonor, turned against her then abused, neglected and evenutally died from beatings. he was only 10 years old.

  • @YarrowElfwind OMG! I HAD NO IDEA THEY KILLED HER INNOCENT BABIES TOO!!! AWFUL:(

  • She was queen 9 months after Louis was executed and during that time was suffering from cancer and tuberculosis. She was accused of treason and incest amongst many other things that are now said to not even be true. She was hated by the people who wanted her executed long before her husband's death. She was thrown into a situation she had no control over and when the people needed someone to hate they chose her.

  • poor marie antoinette. a first victim of bad p.r.

  • She was expected to be the most fashional woman in the kingdom so she directed most of her time towards shopping for the latest fashion. The rest of her time was spent gambling because it was one of the few things she could do with her friends.

  • She had nothing else to do with her time because her husband didn't consumate their marriage until 7 years after their actual wedding so she didn't have any children to look after.

  • I think she fits the role perfectly!

I'm obsessed with this movie ♥

  • this has to be the worst voice-over ever.

  • Eww I know. She sounds bored.

  • shes extremelly pretty! and also a great actress!

  • is it just me, or does it not bother anyone that she and her husband had their heads chopped off? It is completely disturbing how barbaric people were in those days. I love this movie so much. It is one of my favorites...but it saddens me every time I watch it, or read about her life. I wonder if she is really resting in peace...i certainly hope so.

  • To a degree, I agree with you...If I was starving to death, while this foreigner took the thrown of my country and stuffed herself with macaroons, I'd wanna chop her head off too.

You have to wonder...were her careless actions born of pure naive, ignorance?Or was she, in fact, just a self-centred, completely unsympathetic sadist...who couldn't give a shit if her people were starving to death?

  • She was not careless or ignorant, she tried offering her political opinions to the king but he ignored them because he and his advisors were anti-Austrian.

  • @geckoejg33 and not just that Versailles has it own culture where grandiosity is a must and should be forever, that thing really cloud her mind that she should do the same thing as well since everyone is doing it... i believe she was only influenced by the corrupt people of versailles

  • For a start she lived in an era with entirely different values from us. Secondly she was born into it and had no freedom to choose her own destiny -she didn't ask to be born royal or to marry the King of France. Thirdly she lived completely isolated from the people. Probably no one listened to her anyway because she was a woman. She was not a sadist. Rather I think the people who imprisoned her and mistreated her children and made up false stories about her were sadists.

  • The guillotine was actually trying to minimize cruelty while still keeping justice since the criminals don't have to suffer slow and painful death like hanging. But it still is horrifying how that hundreds could be killed each day because of such efficiency.

  • @katiekins77 it bothers me more how the King and Queen lived compared to the poor people of France, I dont agree with death sentence but I dotn feel pity for neither Louis or Antoinette.

  • @xhappyxlifex It's exactly that mentality that makes me so sad. There are plenty of people to argue this point back and forth, but ultimately...dying the way she died was not something I would ever wish on anyone. They have more humane ways of executing rapists, murders, and terrorists than the way the King, Queen, and her poor children had to suffer then die a horrible death. There is nothing wrong with empathy...

  • who the hell is doing the voice over??

  • @thegardenislove sounds like Edith Beale.

  • I love this movie, and i LOVE SO F**KIN MUCH Kirsten Dunst!!!Woman of my dreams..

  • if the movie was focused on the real story .. believe me .. i wouldnt have seen it because it would not have arrived in my country because of the sales. and it was really fun

kristen dunst was perfect for this roll !! .. i mean .. u can imagine a Keira Knightley (I love her) but for this whole new vision of the movie .. we needed a young character with a lot of personallity like Kristen

  • what perfume did she wear?

  • Kristen Dunst is so pretty and the perfect body shape for this costumes i loved this movie

  • what the hell is wrong with this ladys voice??

  • new narrator please!

  • My french is very better

  • AH AH AH ! You see, i'm French and i live in France. So...I think my French is perfect.

  • I don't understand your french. I see you use a traductor. Bye

  • WTF is that

  • Comment removed

  • what ?

  • Idont know. Your french isnt good for me to understand.

  • My french isn't good ? Do you think your French is better ? (it's just a question )

  • i can't imagine someone better than

    Kirsten Dunst

    to be Marie Antoinette

  • Oh dear!!! First of all, the aunnouncer has the slowest voice ever! Kristen, why is she in my home! I will not stand for this! For I am the true Antoinette!

    Marie Antoinette

  • Lol... it's an original message ! I LOVE YOU MARIE-ANTOINETTE !!

  • hope you believe in God.

  • ????

  • The narrator's voice irritates me to no end. She should totally shut up.

  • what made you dislike it so much??

  • Kiki looks cute. I don't know why bloggers bash her so much, I think she's lovely.

  • For real. I love her as an actress. She's not intimidating. Her looks aren't far-fetched. She doesn't present herself as perfect. She seems to not live in that bubble. Maybe it's just that though. Maybe she isn't fake enough?

  • KD looks really nice in this particular interview; I love her dimples. On a side note, is she going to do the BLONDIE role I've heard about? She has a nice enough voice; so that part would probably not be too hard for her at all.

  • I just don't think the director covered the life of Marie Antoinette too well. They only covered her life from the outsider's point of view and just criticized her by her actions.

  • HOMEGIRL! You have got the completely incorrect summation of the film! It's ALL about the introspective facets to her life! Read the novel!!! That's why the film is criticized to such an extent because it doesn't align itself with that cliched(and false) villainous-evil queen image that many expected. It's all about the emotions of the girl/woman-her fears, the personal turmoil, what she loved, etc.

  • @bmbrian it showed a more human side to the Queen and what crosses she had to bear in life. It made me feel a great respect for her and what strength she must have had, to leave home so young, and feel so out of place. I read Abundace by Sena Jeter Nesland. (I'm pretty sure that's the correct name of the author) Her novel was so beautifully written. And very similar to the movies "take" on her life.

  • what a horrid voice. she ought not to read in public ever again.

  • Omg! Who the hell is the narrator? Freaking boring tone.

  • I could'nt agree more..she just sort of reads the script very badly. It is also badly recorded with her voice" popping" on the mike...somebody please get rid of her...

  • lol, she reminds me of the voice of Daria.

  • no, there is also pedro almodovar

  • hahahha Madamme Imelda were mention in this clip that that marie antoinette got alot shoes than Imelda? and where is the shoes ? no evidence ? mmmm they are just using madam's name to invite viewrs hehehehe

  • thank you for posting this!
