once you see one, you see them all, nothing to be scared of unless they are rabid and aggressive. i see them in central park climbing down from trees to raid the garbage cans. felt one brush up against my foot at the delacorte theater while it was sauntering around underneath the seats looking for food.
You have just made my day much brighter xDD. Your reaction was freakin' out of this world,I swear I had to keep pausing it so I could finish laughing.
See, they are only looking for food. They don't care about anything unless they have their young with them. Just give them some space and they will move on.
Racoons and Opossums (not possums) are rare to to the NY City area but in recent years have been seen in the 5 boroughs because of the obvious reasons. More construction and removal of wooded areas and scarce sources for food so they come eat our garbage.

@Cyberghoul lol thats like the pigeons that get on the train at pelham bay park. They get on the train and when it says "stand clear of the closing doors" they get off lol
Not the best spot for the Raccoon to be hanging out. With all the noise from the trains and people, they will get spooked easily. I have been dealing with some raccoons at work for the last couple of years. I think they are pretty cool.
wtf is rong wit her that raccoon couldve attacked her
