The fast string repetitions and the trills are already pre-recorded, as you find them on the VIENNA SPECIAL EDITIONS. Everything else is played and recorded "note by note". Furthermore, the new VIENNA INSTRUMENTS PRO player (not in this video) includes a time-stretching feature, allowing you to adjust the tempo of pre-recorded material such as repetitions, runs etc. What you see in the video is the mixer window of VIENNA ENSEMBLE, a free mixing and host software for all VIENNA INSTRUMENTS users.
This is the first time I've seen this version of Vienna. Did the composer predetermine the repeated patterns that would be played by the single notes or did he just use something that was already preprogrammed into the software? CAN you create your own patterns to be repeated by single notes in this version of Vienna? Thanks for posting these! It's great to see a current composer's work broken down and examined!
